今回は【名古屋の寂しい街・商店街シリーズ】の番外編として「新今池ビル」に行ってきました。1962年10月竣工、地上7階地下2階の新今池ビルは映画館、飲食店、物販店を中心に入居していましたがいつの頃からか多くのテナントが撤退し現在では営業している店がほとんどなくなりました。
今池駅徒歩0分、名古屋の主要道路の広小路通と錦通に挟まれた超一等地のビルですがテナントがほとんどなくなり今では「生ける廃墟」と呼ばれるようになりました。そして数年間廃墟状態でしたが2019年末に解体される事が決定しています。 ★寂しい街、商店街を歩くシリーズ ►

私は下町生まれの下町育ちで親が商店を営んでいた事もあり、小さい頃の遊び場は市場や商店街でした。大型モールや少子高齢化により私の小さな頃と今とではかなり変わってしまいましたが今でも私は商店街が好きです。そして昭和の匂いのする街が大好きです。
栄枯盛衰、商店街は全国的にいわゆるシャッター街が増えておりこのままでは廃墟化してしまうかもしれません。ガラッと変わるのは好きではありませんが静かなる復活を期待しつつ残されている街を自分の目で確かめアーカイブしておきたくなり動画を撮影・アップしました。
