Adidas Originals has collaborated with two sneaker boutiques, specifically Japan’s Billy’s and UK’s Size, to create two Japan-inspired colorways of the Tobacco sneaker.
According to the brands, this project is part of Adidas’ ongoing “Japan City Series,” with this specific collab inspired by the city of Kyoto. Billy’s take on the model features a green-based color scheme referencing matcha, while Size’s pair comes in a predominantly brown makeup that nods to the city’s jazz culture. Both pairs also have Japanese characters embroidered above the Three Stripes logo on the sides, which translates to Kyoto. Completing the look for both pairs is a brown-colored midsole.
Both versions of the “Japan City Series” Adidas Tabacco will be released on Nov. 21 at Billys-tokyo.net and Size.co.uk. Each pair retails for 15,400 yen, which roughly converts to $100.
