Photos from my visit to Godenya in Hong Kong in September, a Japanese Omakase restaurant with Sake pairings. The Chef is a Sake somelier and serves an omakase meal where each dish is paired with a different sake from all over Japan. Each Sake is served at the perfect temperature some hot some cold and the chef meticulously makes sure they are served at the right temperature. The Chef was also a really nice guy, we talked a bit after the meal when he found out I spoke a bit of Japanese, and even posed for a photo. Easily my most memorable meal in Hong Kong.
