The Tokyo Marathon Foundation has signed a sustainability partnership with ASUENE Inc. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo).

ASUENE is a Japan-founded climate tech company that promotes decarbonization across corporations, municipalities, and events by providing cloud-based solutions for measuring and reducing CO2 emissions.

Through this partnership, ASUENE will support phased GHG measurement and reduction initiatives for the Tokyo Marathon from 2026 to 2028. Beginning with the 2026 event, ASUENE will conduct a baseline carbon footprint analysis to help enhance sustainable event management toward the Tokyo Marathon’s 20th anniversary in 2027.

Together with all runners, volunteers, spectators, and partners, we will strengthen our efforts to reduce environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.
