Hokkaido Nippon-Ham and Martinez agree to contract extra inning
Hokkaido Nippon-Ham announced that they have reached an agreement with players Reyes and Martinez to extra inning their contracts through the 2026 season. Reyes, in his second year in Japan, won the batting double crown with 32 Home Run and 90 RBI this season. Martinez, in his third year with the team, played in a career-low 34 games.

Chiba Lotte held a pick-up greeting for Mito Keimei High School’s Yuto Nakayama pitcher, the first pick in the developmental draft, at the school today. Amateur scouting director Yasuhiro Enoki and scout in charge Takeshi Kanno were in attendance.

Fukuoka Softbank manager Hiroki Kokubo wins the Best Manager Award
The winners of the 2025 Commissioner’s Special Award and the League Special Award were announced. Fukuoka Softbank ‘s Hiroki Kokubo, who led the team to its 21st league championship for the second consecutive year, received the Manager of the Year Award at Pacific League League Special Award.
The awards will be presented at the “NPB AWARDS 2025 supported by Lipovitan D” to be held on Wednesday, November 26th.
