Late trip itinary from Tokyo to onen town which is cross from snowmoking park. Take the hokurikasen asama or kagayyaki to nagano station. You can also board from Tokyo station if it’s more convenient. [Music] One of Japan’s oldest and most important Buddhist temples located about 10 minutes by taxi or bus from Nago station. You can walk along the temple approach lined with souvenia shops and traditional cafes. Nagago is famous for buckw wheat noodles made with pure mountain water. Enjoy freshly made soba at the local restaurant. Take the limited express. Be sure to buy an express ticket. Enjoy scenic view of Apple Orchard and surrounding mountains along the way. After checking, staff will explain the onen rules and give you a key for the town’s nine public bus. Explore the nine papri bus of Shibu onen each with different healing properties. Wear your yucata and strolls through the nostalgic street filled with traditional uden ins. End the day with local cuisine at choken, a cozy izakaya popular among locals. It’s all handmade and all omakas style. Wow, this was a wonderful experience. It takes about 5 minutes by taxi from Yunanaka or Shibonen to the entrance of the snow moi park. This trip is highly recommended for travelers who want a fun and unique journey from Tokyo. Travel Japan together.

This vlog is from the day I visited Shibu Onsen in Nagano from Tokyo. I think you’ll get to see what makes this hot spring town so special!

Places like this are usually in more rural areas, but Shibu Onsen isn’t too far from Tokyo. What’s unique about this town is that if you stay at one of the local inns, you’ll get a key that lets you enter all nine public baths in the area.

And of course, you have to try the local food — especially the soba!
