On the 7th, Nippon-Ham announced that pitcher Taisho Tamai will remain with the team without exercising his domestic free agent rights.

Tamai commented through the team’s official website, “I said I would think about it (exercising free agency), but my mind was pretty much made up. It’s where I was born and raised, and I love Hokkaido and this team. A lot of local people support me, so I have special feelings for them.”
