Recently, bear attack incidents have been reported across various regions in Japan. On the evening of No. 6, at a farm in Urakawa Town, Hokkaido, a massive brown bear suddenly charged at a vehicle and violently attacked it, causing severe dents in the hood. Fortunately, the driver was able to reverse in time to escape, and no one was injured.
The farm, known as Mulberry Stable, shared a video on social media showing the moment of the incident. In the video, the driver is seen driving along the road when a brown bear suddenly appears in front of the vehicle, forcefully slamming its paws against the front of the car, creating a loud noise. Ultimately, the bear left after the vehicle reversed.
After escaping, the driver discovered that the hood of the car had been dented by the bear’s paw, with several claw marks remaining.
Japan has recently experienced a surge in bear-related incidents, with the number of deaths due to bear attacks rising to 14 this year, marking a historical high since records began in 2006. Additionally, over a hundred people have been injured.
