HOKKAIDO (TR) – Hokkaido Prefectural Police have arrested a 41-year-old man who has admitted to fatally stabbing his sister and their mother and father in Sapporo City last month, reports the Sankei Shimbun (Nov. 4).
According to the Sapporo-Kita Police Station, Junichi Nakamura was arrested on suspicion of murder in the stabbing of his 55-year-old sister, Chieko Kawamura. Nakamura was also accused of being involved in the deaths of her parents.
Nakamura turned himself in on October 31 around 11:40 a.m. “I killed three family members 30 minutes ago,” said Nakamura.
Police investigated and found his older sister Chieko, his father Michinori, 68, and his mother Mieko, 83, collapsed on the first floor of their two-story home in Kita Ward.

All three had multiple stab wounds, mainly to the upper body, including the neck and chest. The cause of death was hemorrhagic shock.
According to police, Michinori and his wife Mieko had been living in the house alone, but recently Nakamura had also been sleeping there. Chieko, who lived in Higashi Ward, occasionally came and went from the house.
Police also revealed that Nakamura was at sometime arrested on suspicion of assault for punching his mother in the face in February 2022.
