How to See Kyoto in 1 Day | The Complete Guide to #kyoto #japan

Here is a complete 1-day Kyoto itinerary to make the most of your time in Kyoto. Start off at the iconic Fushimiari Shrine where you will explore some of the most famous Hory gates in all of Japan. Next, go to the famous Nijou Castle with its stunning architecture and nightingale floors which are designed to chirp like a bird when stepped on to prevent anyone from being able to sneak up on the shogun. After that, go get some lunch at the Instagram worthy Menbaka Fire Ramen. Then make your way to the Aishyama bamboo forest for some stunning scenery as you are surrounded by the most famous bamboo grove in all of Japan. Following your time at the bamboo grove, go to the legendary Kin Kakuji Temple to see the golden pavilion and capture it with its tranquil surroundings and reflection on the lake. Lastly, make your way to Ki Mizuera to finish off the day with some stunning views of the temple and Kyoto. Check out my channel for the full guide and plenty more Japan content.

  1. I wonder what's the probability of doing all this without some bad faith tourist being disrespectful, and oblivious to the social decorm? Back in 2021, I wanted to visit Tokyo, may regret was not going sooner, because now….lets just day the level of disrespect of public space is being more noticed.

  2. That’s a lotta wasted travel time lol. Why not do Kiyomizu when you’re nearby after Fushimi Inari?

  3. This is physically not possible in one day unless you are using taxis for each move and get an incredibly early start. Let alone how much time would one plan to spend? It took me two hours to go to the top of the Fushimi Inari mountain and back and that was without crowds.
