Today we are taking the train from Osaka to Kanazawa The journey today will take about 3 hours with a stop to change trains in Tsuruga Lets go Welcome to Kanazawa It is raining so lets take a taxi For this part of the trip we rented an apartment in the center I love Japanese bathtubs : ) Time for dinner Everything looks yummy We ordered two set meals Swordfish tempura set Tempura set Thank you for the meal Good morning Lunch time Kanpai Crab bowl It comes with miso soup Fatty tuna Thank you for this meal Lets take a walk down the main street Arriving to the most beautiful tea house The atmosphere is so peaceful The room opens to a quiet garden, framed by old wooden beams and soft tatami Lets order Please enjoy a look at the room Please pick out a cup for matcha Feels like we are in a living painting I wish we could stay longer, but the tea house is closing soon. Just a few more quiet moments to take it all in Thank you for having us This is the other etrance Lets continue Kanazawa’s weather shifts so quickly-the rain comes and goes, and the sky changes in minutes It adds a quiet, moody charm to every street we walk down On our way to the samurai district The walk over is beautiful and full of charm Here we are It feels like stepping back in time. Traditional homes that have stood here for centuries It’s peaceful, elegant, and seems somehow untouched still today There was a cafe sign, but unfortunately it was already closed We are circling back to a ramen restaurant we saw on this street earlier It’s so beautiful here, with the river running alongside the street Time to eat : ) We both will order the miso ramen Yum! The broth is thick and savory, perfect for a chilly evening Thank you for the meal We couldn’t resist a quick gelato before calling it a night All of the flavors are so original and inviting I will order “milk” and “apple” It is delicious Thank you so much for watching. 📍Osaka → Kanazawa (Japan Travel Series – Day 2/3)
Hi everyone and welcome back to the Diary of the Mediterranean
On Day 2 of our Japan series, we travel from Osaka to Kanazawa – a beautiful city on Japan’s west coast known for its history, food, and peaceful atmosphere.
It’s a rainy evening when we arrive, so we check into our apartment and enjoy a cozy Japanese set meal for dinner before resting for the night.
The next morning, the rain clears and we head to the Omicho Market, where we try fresh crab for lunch, then stop for tea in a stunning traditional home tucked away off of the main street.
Later, we wander through Kanazawa’s samurai streets, explore the quiet lanes, grab a comforting bowl of ramen, and finishing the day with gelato.

I think the most relaxing announcements are in Thai Airports. It sounds like the robots delivering princes Padme’s children: Luke and Lea.
