Pleats Please Issey Miyake/Aoyama, the new space for the Japanese brand, has opened in Tokyo.
The new industrial space, combined with glass and aluminum, reflects the brand’s innovation and functionality.
Designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, who has long collaborated with the Pleats Please brand—from the creation of the logo to the design of the flagship stores—the new space brings to life the designer’s vision of a semi-transparent environment with an extraordinary combination of glass and aluminum.
Spread over three floors, the interior displays products from the Pleats Please universe.
It features a rainbow of colors pressed into pleated paper adorning the walls of the first floor, telling the story of the garments made using our iconic pleating technique.

The structured hangers, specially designed to give the impression that clothes are floating, are striking and express the lightness of the brand’s products.
The garments are arranged rolled up in transparent glass display cases, creating a playful display.
