TOKYO: Dr. SEITA Akihiro, the Director of Health at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), expressed his profound gratitude for Japan’s support on Thursday in a meeting with State Minister for Foreign Affairs KUNIMITSU Ayano.
Seita provided an update on the situation concerning UNRWA during a courtesy call on the State Minister and said Japan’s support is highly trusted.
Kunimitsu expressed her deep respect for Dr. Seita for his dedication in supporting Palestine refugees under challenging circumstances. She expressed the intention to improve the humanitarian situation of Palestine refugees.
In addition, both sides exchanged views on other matters, which included the issue of support for the Gaza Strip.
