On the 6th, Orix announced that it will send Leo Yamaguchi, Ryusei Gonda, Riku Miyaguni, Ryoma Yamanaka, Mugiya Yusuke, as well as coaches Makino Rui and Oda Yusuke Mugitani to the 2025 Asian Winter Baseball League (AWB) to be held in Taiwan.
Mugitani joined Orix as the first pick in the 2024 draft and in his first year as a professional this season, he played in 79 games, batting .231 with Home Run, 10 RBI and 12 stolen base. He will be working to improve his skills in Taiwan in his second year of pro baseball.
