Dwight Ramos, AJ Edu, and Francis Lopez all found themselves inside the winner’s circle in a jam-packed 13-game slate in the B.LEAGUE on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Dwight Ramos, AJ Edu, and Francis Lopez all helped their respective squads pick up wins in the ongoing Japan B.League season, while Kiefer Ravena and Ray Parks Jr. delivered strong individual performances that went for naught.
Ramos continued his steady play for Levanga Hokkaido, posting 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists in a strong 84–78 decision over the Ibaraki Robots.
Hokkaido erupted for a 30–11 run in the fourth quarter to claim its sixth victory in the last seven games and improve to 9–4 — third-best in the Eastern Conference behind the Chiba Jets (12–1) and defending champion Utsunomiya Brex (11–2).
Edu also made his presence felt, tallying eight points and 10 rebounds as the Gunma Crane Thunders (7-6) extended their winning streak to three after an 88–79 triumph over Altiri Chiba (4-9).
Meanwhile, Lopez chipped in nine points to help the Fighting Eagles Nagoya (4-9) snap a six-game skid with an 81–77 triumph at the expense of the Kyoto Hannaryz (3-10).
On the other hand, Ravena poured in a season-high 20 points, but it wasn’t enough as the Yokohama B-Corsairs (4-9) fell to Utsunomiya, 76–86.
Parks Jr. also erupted for 20 markers but the Osaka Evessa dropped a tight 96–100 decision to Nagasaki Velca (12-1), marking their third loss in four outings to fall to 5–8.
