A spectacular display of light and art is coming to Osaka this winter, the “OSAKA Hikari Renaissance 2025: Osaka City Central Public Hall Wall Projection Mapping.”
This free, large-scale projection mapping show will illuminate the walls of a historic landmark as a core program of the “Osaka Light Festival 2025.”
The parent festival is one of Osaka’s largest light events, attracting approximately 3.88 million visitors last year.
Event Overview
The event is a central feature of “OSAKA Hikari Renaissance 2025,” which is held in Nakanoshima, the symbol of Osaka as a “water city.”
Under the theme of “A Brilliant Osaka Night,” the show will project stunning images onto the neo-Renaissance architecture of the Osaka City Central Public Hall, an Important Cultural Property.
The visuals are set to create wonder and excitement, featuring the colors and sparkle of stained glass and crystal light that sways like the surface of the water.
The event is organized by the Osaka Light Festival Executive Committee and produced by the digital creative company Ikki Co., Ltd.
Viewing is free for all, and no prior registration is required.

Show Times: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Screening Schedule: A 10-minute (approx.) show is planned to be screened every 12 minutes.
Access: The venue is located within a 1-5 minute walk from Naniwabashi Station (Keihan Nakanoshima Line) and Yodoyabashi Station (Osaka Metro Midosuji Line / Keihan Main Line).
Weather Note: The projections will be held even in the event of rain, but may be temporarily suspended or canceled in the event of severe weather.
