I might take food photography a bit too seriously for a casual 😮💨 Here’s a brief collection of some of my greatest hits throughout the years. Like many of you, food is a huge driver when I spend my time in the country. And often, my non-Japanese friends would ask me, “What’s the best place to eat XYZ?” before traveling there themselves.
The goal with this collection is to show everyone that a) Japanese food is much more diverse beyond sushi and ramen and b) you can find these types of dishes anywhere. Literally. Cities big and small. There isn’t a “best”, and even if some French tire company declared it exists, the standards are so high across the board I wouldn’t know the difference 😅
Anyway, the nice thing about Japanese cuisine is that the visuals are just as much part of the experience. Hope you enjoy the view and that these drive you to find your own good eats on your next journey! 🍙
