Undiscovered retro town, KITAKYUSHU with gourmet and attractions. #fukuoka#japan

[Music] I’ been around for the thoughts they seem to drown me instead. Fukoka is an attractive town which is close to the airport, full of shopping, sightseeing spots, and delicious food. In addition, if you go a little further, you will find many different food cultures and tourist attractions. Today, I’m going to Kitakushu City, a place I’ve never been to before. [Music] Currently, the Sio Shinkansen has been collabing with One Piece. For what’s it worth, you cannot miss if you’re huge fan of it. It takes only 15 minutes to get Kokula station by bullet train. So, just get in the reserve seat is fine. I’m even standing near by the door. Because it’s a good chance to explore, I’m heading to a little farther away. [Music] [Music] The sea cam into view over there. We are almost there. [Music] I arrived at Moji Port Station. Mojiko station is a railway station at the northern terminals of the Kagoshima mainline. The station building is designated as an important culture property. Currently, Tokyo station and Mojiko station are designated in the active station building. It’s a very sunny station building with a retro atmosphere to maintain aging and rainforce earthquake resistance reservation. The repair work completed in 2019. In the past, people used to buy tickets from station staff here. The Starbucks attached to the station also has a great atmosphere. Now let’s explore the city. As soon as you leave the station, you will see a bridge across the street. It faces the canon straight which separates Konu and Kyushu and Yangji Prefecture is on the other side. The canon bridge is a highway that only vehicle can pass. In addition, there are shinkans pedestrian and another vehicle tunnels under the sea. That’s hard to believe. In 1889, the city changed significantly as a result of being designated as a national special export. IA to Japan’s three major trading ports and Mojiko had become the financial center of Kyushu. However, with opening the Canon Bridge, it lost its status as a transportation hab and lost its function as a port. It remains a former side of one’s florest shopping street. If you visit Mojiko, you should try grilled curry. I try moji curry bread for my breakfast. It’s really good. [Music] You can try grill curry at around 20 cafes and restaurants here. [Music] [Music] Mo port was a major h for continental shipping routes and was also a base for shipping routes to Delian and mainland China. [Music] It was built to commemorate the friendship between the two cities. You can visit for free and enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine at the restaurant on the first floor. The swing bridge is the largest in Japan which pedestrian campus. six times a day. Bounce up at an angle of 60° to the surface of the water. We could see that it’s almost closed. It is said the first couple to cross the bridge will be tied for the rest of their lives. I found something interesting. Norma mailbox in Japan are in red, but this one is yellow and has bananas on it. [Music] This is apparently the birthplace of banana bergen sales. Now, let’s go back to Kokula station. A masterpiece that will remain in the history of Japanese animation that sparked SF animation booming. The Galaxy Express 999’s manga artist Lei Matsoto was born here. Kokula, you can find a ready things such as the departure melody, the rapian vehicle of Monoral and the statues. Wow, it’s so cool. station number two. It is said the Tanga market which has a history of a 100 years began as a fish unloading area around 1912. It’s a 100 m long street with an aret. There are approximately 120 stores including fresh fish, fruit, vegetables and side dish stores. Not only you can buy ingredients, but also you can enjoy eating while walking around. Inatan has been established for 90 years and a specialty restaurant. The purpose of this short trip was actually to come here. This is because the previous owner was known as the god of eels. As an eel lover, I have always wanted to come here. First, I enjoy the earbones, liver, and appetizers with beer. The ultimate taste is achieved through a lot of researches how to handle aged and grilled. The fluffy eel tamagoyaki is amazing. I was just speechless because it’s so good. It’s so fluffy and melty that I cannot pick with a chopsticks. Next is shiyaki, which is simply grilled with any sweet or salty sauce. I could taste the original flavor and umami of eel, which is something I’ve never tasted before. The ears here are on a different level. [Music] My stomach feels like it’s going to burst. So, I’m going to walk a lot. It’s an important castle that was once a key point for transportation and surveillance in Kyushu. Today I like to go to another place so I won’t climb the castle and head into the next spot. Were you surprised when you use a Japanese for the first time? I then wanted to visit the Toto Museum. The totally shaped chair is comfortable to sit on. You can learn Toto’s history, roots, and technology here. Wow, look at the motorcycle. This was created in order to promote consideration for the environment. It’s made in 2010 as a part of project of total green challenge. And it actually run all the way from Hugoka to Tokyo more than a thousand kilometers. They use bio gas as a fuel. So it’s really ecological. Here you could learn how people have been evolving the toilets in Japan. These toilets were commonly used in hotels and restaurant around 1890. They’re so beautiful. [Music] These clearly show how Japanese toilets have changed over time. [Music] Western style toilets became common in Japan around 1960. The first washer was released by TTO in Japan 1980. Nowadays, tankless toilets are the norm. Automatic opening and closing, automatic cleaning, and environmentally friendly design. Japanese solins are still evolving, but what will they look like in 2050? This may be a unique custom of the Japanese. They mainly installed in women’s restrooms and are used to play the sand or water flowing so that the sand excretion cannot be heard. Previously people run water to muff the noise. So this has really helped to save water. The latest models are sensor activated and can even hear tripling. Here you can experience the difference in size by sitting on toilet of various size. This is a toilet for small wrestlers that was developed when the cook was built. Designed to withstand over 100 kg. Can you tell the difference between two of these showers? This is a stimulating shower head that use a unique technology to mix large droplets and mist. It’s easy to see when you shine a line on it. This will reduce annual CO2 emissions. Furthermore, water and gas consumption by approximately 35% compared to conventional products. You can also see the toilets and baths which are packed with the latest technology and new designs. Don’t forget to stop by the toilet afterwards. You can experience the latest one while the lid open automatically. I water salize the toilet. The sensor automatically placed the sand or water. As I approach to the toilet, it feels like salt water gently envelops my hands. It’s a great museum where you can see the history and evolution of the creation of a new living culture. Lastly, stop by the original souvenir shop offering its original items such as small toilet and rolling paper. The small toilet key ring is so cute. In today’s video, I introduce a short trip you can easily take from Hakata station. If you go a little further, you can experience different scenery, culture, and food. Please go and check it out. Thank you for watching. Bye for now.

If you go a little further away from the cities, you could experience a special culture, food and attractions.
Why don’t you take one day short trip from Fukuoka?
