Is Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo Still Worth Visiting? 🐟 Japan Food Vlog 🍣

[Music] Good morning everybody. Welcome to Japan. So we are here in Tokyo and this is our hotel premier cabin here at Shinjutun. So our item arrived for today is that we are going to the Sukijichi market. So it’s a famous fish market. Well, that used to be the place where tuna auctions would happen, but it was transferred to another market, but still this market remains to be an iconic place here in Japan. So, this is our day to try out delicious seafood finds for breakfast and for lunch. We’re heading in there right now and this beautiful rainy mornings here in Tokyo. On the way to Tikichi Market, you’re actually going to pass by one temple. So, it’s a nice place to drop by and take pictures. It’s literally the subway station and then the temple is here. And now we’re going to walk. We are here. We are now at the Tukiji outer market. So make sure you look for the outer market. Um that’s where all the food stalls are and you can buy all the freshest things here. I know everybody says they want to eat at the fish market, but actually what we pinned was the Tukiji outer market. That’s where we found all the other food. When we pinned the fish market, it led us to all the fish stalls. So, I think that’s something to note and they grill it on the spot. Get the one with the sauce that has like bits and pieces on it cuz the other one’s just soy sauce. This one tastes better. It’s ano inchori tofu ano tofu skin. So this one is rice wrapped in like a like a tofu skin. So instead of it being wrapped like in sushi, it’s wrapped in tofu skin. And then there’s fish eggs on top. And there’s salmon sashimi. Oh my gosh, look at that, guys. It’s kind of sweet and then the fresh fish and then the texture of the tofu. So good. [Music] ate at this one stall which is literally right across the road. So it looks like this one. Um, I’m going to try to find like the English name or like, you know, not not in characters. I’ll try to find an English. But this is how the stall looks like. And this is where we’re eating. See everything here. And then when you go further inside, there are more places with this kind of thing. Basically, they’re all similar in the type of food that they serve. However, this one is a bit on the more affordable side. We saw one that went for for up to like 5,000 to 6,000 yen while this one’s like 1,500. So, let’s see. Yeah. Um, the fish is coming from the same place more or less anyway. Right. So, let’s take a try. The name of the stall we ate at was Tukiji Canno. And I was really happy with this stall. Supposedly, people come here really early, so we came here quite late already. So, some of the stalls were closed already. But, we were so happy we tried out this stall. It was affordable. It was delicious. And we had a bunch of different things. Of course, everything we ate here was raw, except for the clam soup and the miso soup, but we had squid and we had a lot of sashimi and the umi was so premium, the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. This one is the octopus. Let’s try it. So, I dipped it in a bit of soy sauce and wasabi. Let’s see. Is this raw? No, it’s not. It’s raw. Strawberry. Raw. This is raw taco or raw squid. Not my choice of a seafood to be honest, but it’s this time around. The roads at JR Express. Trains are nicer. So, um, recently we’ve been taking the subway cuz the subway is actually the cheapest way to go around and it’s an unlimited pass through the subway. So, that’s a good deal of it. Today, we are at Saitama. We are going to book off. We’re just checking if there’s anything good to find. But you know what? It was so interesting the moment we got out of the train. It was just so peaceful like walking in here. It’s not really the city life. It’s more It’s more of like a suburban life. There’s a school here. It’s so quiet. You can hear like crows coming out everywhere. It’s very nice here. I’ll show you guys. It’s honestly just a nice change of scenery. So, we’re going to book off, but we’re going to McDonald’s first. Um, we have to eat a little bit after. That’s a Ki market lunch. Is it more juicy than the Philippine burger? The same. The same. So it tastes exactly the same. Yeah. Exactly. Okay. We went to the Saitama branch of Book Off cuz of Tik Tok, but honestly, it was just really big. But there wasn’t anything that we really loved. Honestly, I would rather go to Ueno and look for pre-loved goods there or even Harajuku. I preferred the items there over here. Just in my honest opinion. Now we are at the Ginsa area. So Ginsa is a good area if you’re going shopping and all that. So we’re going to Unilo which this Uniqlo just trivia is the biggest Uniqlo in the world. Okay, now we are at Unilo. So we are here at Ginsa. This is actually the flagship store of Uniqlo. So, it’s a good place to buy cheaper unilo items. But though, even if you’re not buying anything, it’s good to go here anyway. It’s actually really cheaper here in Japan, to be honest. So, let’s go. No kidding. This branch is huge, though. The place is so big. The elevators are intertwining with each other. Oh my gosh. Look. Oh my gosh, there are a million different anime t-shirts here. Oh my gosh, look at it. Look at I’m going crazy here. It’s Attack on Titan. Okay, so we had a fantastic dinner here at Kinsza, but I’m so sorry I wasn’t able to get the actual name of the restaurant. All I have here are the characters. So, just take a screenshot and do your research. [Music] You like it? [Music] So far, honestly, this seems like a bar, so it looks like a drinking place. It was quite noisy, but the food was superb. I know it’s all like bar chowo. So, we have yakitori here, a bunch of fried food as well. And we have some gyoza and some deep fried chicken. But everything was really delicious. So, if you can find the name of this restaurant, by all means, go there and enjoy your night eating. Can I just say how helpful the staff are here? So, I went to the I went to the I went to the front desk or to the reception and I asked them details because our flight is actually at 9:00 a.m. So, we have to leave quite early. So, he actually made an itinerary for me. He gave me all the time slots. He gave me all the stations where I’ll get it, how much it will cost. Like, like who does that? He actually had the time to do this for me and the staff, they speak great English. So, thank you so much. I I’m really happy with this location. Thank you so much to the staff who helped us. All so helpful. We are heading back to Manila and we got the Skyliner tickets to go directly to the Narita airport. First Skyliner um train will leave at 5:45. So, we have to wait a bit. But when you get a Skyliner ticket, okay, so they’ll give you the car number and the seat number. So this one’s like their premium um what do they call that? Their premium train going straight to Narita airport. So I’m ending the vlog here, guys. I’m going back to Manila with a ton of snacks, a few souvenirs, and a whole lot of memories. Hope you guys can like and subscribe and watch for more food, travel, and real estate videos. See you guys again soon. Bye.
