Current MXGP World Champion Romain Febvre is on the Land of the Rising Sun to contest the final round of the All-Japan Motocross Championship.
Febvre will line up in the IA1 (450cc) class for the season finale, scheduled for November 1–2 at the Sugo circuit. This will mark his second appearance in the Japanese championship, following his 2015 participation — coincidentally also during his world title-winning year.
Valerio Lata (HRC) will be also competing in the IA1 class.

Both riders already race the qualifying moto yesterday, with Febvre taking the win and Valerio Lata finished 6h after a bad start.
In terms of the championship standings, Australia’s Jay Wilson (Yamaha) is on track to secure his third consecutive IA1 title, holding a 36-point advantage over Yuki Okura (Honda).
