Okinawa Day Four! Snorkeling at Cape Maeda! Sea life, Snacks, and Snorkeling!
Good morning, adventurers. It’s Eddie Mean here, and today we are at the stunningly beautiful Cape Ma on the main island of Okinawa, and we’re going snorkeling. Never been snorkeling before, have you? So excited. The water’s cold. We’re doing it in wet suits. I’m very excited. First for everything. All right, are you ready? Are you excited? I’m excited. Let’s go. [Applause] So to get to Cape Maya from just about anywhere, you’re going to have to take a bus up the coast to this point, Maya Misaki. Right. It’s a nice public picnic parking area. It’s also where you will probably meet any of your guides if you book snorkeling or diving excursions. Uh pay for parking. You can come in. There’s basic facilities. You’ve got changing rooms over here, vending machines, bathrooms, and then you do have some shops uh over here. This is the main building. This is where the soba restaurant is. This is where the dive shop is. [Music] All right. So, we’re here in the Maida SOA restaurant at Cape Maya to have a little bit of breakfast uh before I go snorkeling. Try to give myself enough time to eat and digest so that I don’t get cramps and whatnot. So, we are trying [Music] Okinawa soba. You may say that doesn’t look like soba. You’d be right. This is Okinawa soba. Got some pork, some fish cakes, grated ginger, negi. Negi, ngi, negi, green onion. Give it a try. Let’s go. All right. like you do with any good noodle meal. Noodle meal. Put your hair up so that it doesn’t get in the soup. Let’s see what we got. Try the noodles first. [Music] M. Those are quite hearty. Ooh. Ooh. They have a really good texture. [Applause] M. They’re really light. A little chewy. They don’t immediately fall apart. Super good. Let’s try the broth. It’s hot. It’s very hot. It’s really soft, light, salty. This is good. Try the pork. M pork. M. That’s been cooked for a long time. It tastes good. It’s really good. Mhm. Not a fan of fishcake, but I don’t really like fish cake that much anyway. So, overall, I really like these Okinawa noodles. Let’s try it with some sugar, some pickled pink ginger. Oh, yeah. The binog goes really well with it. I’m going to finish eating this and then we’re off to snorkeling. I’m in a wet suit. Don’t like it at all. On our way to go snorkeling. I hope you guys enjoy these YouTube videos for the things I do for you to make these videos. So, as you can see, it is low tide and apparently the waves are bad at the cave today, so we can’t go. So, we’re going to a different spot. I’m a little bit nervous, you guys. I mean, I can swim, but I’ve never snorkeled before. I’ve never been in a wet suit before. Don’t like it. Uh, you know, hope you guys appreciate these videos. If I die, you know, all my money goes to John Colbeck. Just so everybody knows. Oh, blue fish. Ah. Oh, the water feels amazing. [Music] It’s cold. [Music] Avoid go. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Down. [Music] Wow. [Music] with you. Meow. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Hey, hey, Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. N. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Oh god, I’m out of the water now. Oh, salt water. It burns. That was a lot of fun. That was that was very much fun. [Music] Wow. This is very heavy this Wednesday. Now that this is in fact wet. [Music] Hopeed you guys enjoyed this episode of Erdime Adventures. I’ll be back with another video from Okinawa soon. So, click that notification button so you get the first quickest notification that the videos are up. So, after a nice long snorkel. I came back to the like main sitting area and I got the Okinawan beer oran for those of us that pronounce it the way it’s spelled in our country. It is Okinawa’s craft the draft from Okinawa to the world. And I got this super cute ice cream. Look, you can only get it here in this little shell. Isn’t this great? I’m so excited. It’s melting though. So, I’m going to eat it right now. I don’t I don’t know what that flavor is. I think it’s just blue vanilla ice cream. Yeah, you can only get it here according to all the signs. It’s very cute and very tasty. Let’s try the Orio. That’s got a good flavor to it. I’ve never had that beer before, so that’s pretty cool. That’s really good. The snorkeling was so much fun. Now, this is a beach day. It’s the only way you can go swimming now that it’s after October 31st. That was great. I had a lot of fun. I saw a lot of fish. I cut my knuckle on a coral. Uh because with the goggles on, objects in your actual vision are closer than they appear. All right. I have no idea what I’m doing next, but when I know, you’ll know.
Join me at Okinawa’s Cape Maeda as I go snorkeling for the very first time! Relaxing underwater scenes and tasty Okinawa Soba await in this video!
