Zara opened a four-story flagship store in the bustling Shinsaibashi district of Osaka. The 1,900-square-meter store also features Japan’s first Zacaffè, the Spanish fashion chain’s own restaurant concept.
Spanish meets Japanese design
The store, spread over four floors in the Shinsaibashi Zero Gate building, was designed by Zara’s in-house team from A Coruña. The interior follows the brand’s latest international design codes, but has been given a distinctly Japanese character. Traditional elements such as tatami mats, clay walls, and noren curtains are combined with steel and black metal.
