Virtual Scenic Flight 063: Flight across Japan / Section 14

This time we fly from Kumamoto to Kagoshima.
Departing from Kumamoto Airport, the route takes us over Mount Aso, the Miyazaki Plain, and Sakurajima, and on to Kagoshima, where we visit two active volcanoes, each with a vast caldera.
Next time, we will leave Kyushu and head for Okinawa in the final trip of the Across Japan series.

Flight Route:
– Take off from Runway 07 at Kumamoto Airport, Kumamoto Prefecture, heading northeast
– From Mount Aso, head southeast towards Takachiho and Nobeoka in Miyazaki Prefecture
– Fly south along the coastline from Hyūga on the east coast, following the Miyazaki Plain
– Head southwest from Miyazaki towards Miyakonojo and Sakurajima in Kagoshima Prefecture
– After passing Kagoshima, make a wide right turn and approach from the north to Kagoshima International Airport, located northwest of Kagoshima.
– Land on Runway 16 at Kagoshima International Airport
