When the uninitiated people think of Japanese food, they think, "sushi". It's such a shame, because there's soooo much.

Other, more enlightened folks will know about ramen, tempura, yakisoba, maybe yakiniku, yakitori, etc. Folks who've lived there will obviously get the deep dive. The amazing fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, pickled, grilled, fried, or not…nabe, don-buri, even the yakiimo.

But all I want right now is this. Freaking katsu curry is the goat. 🍛 This particular one was delicious, even if the meat wasn't kurobuta.
