¥9,500 / $64 Secret Stay in Central Tokyo ✨ Perfect Location for Sightseeing + Bistro Experience 🍽️
Today, I’m staying at KEIO Presso Inn Tokyo Kudanshita! Kudanshita is a compact area filled with Tokyo’s rich history, greenery, and culture. I’ll also be showing you local food spots and sightseeing places around the hotel! Let’s get started! I’m starting from Exit 5 of Kudanshita Station. Lots of shops line the street. Right after exiting the station, I turned left at the Starbucks. On this channel, I mainly introduce hotels in Tokyo along with sightseeing spots and Japanese food. If you’re interested, please consider subscribing! Here’s the price for one night in a non-smoking single room. It only took me about two minutes on foot from the station to get here. The hotel originally opened in 2009 and was fully renovated in January 2020. It looks very clean and well-kept. Let’s check in! Right at the entrance, there’s a vending machine. You can grab some soft drinks here. Pick up any amenities you need from the amenity bar. The elevator is right next to it. Let’s head to my room. There’s a coin laundry and more vending machines on the 6th floor—let’s check that out later. Today’s room is number 402. There are trouser presses in the hallway you can borrow. If it’s not on your floor, you can grab one from another. Just make sure to return it after use. I’ve arrived at my room! Just touch the key card to unlock the door. This is a single room—12 square meters and non-smoking. The bed is a semi-double size. The room is compact but clean and comfortable. It has a calm, chic vibe. I love the soft lighting too. Let’s take a look around the desk area. There’s enough space here to get some work done on a laptop. On the desk, there’s a cup, tissues, and a phone. I even found a handwritten message card—such a nice touch. They also offer in-room massage service, which is pretty convenient. Toward the back, I found four power outlets—very useful. Let’s check out the information TV. It shows the current status of the laundry room, so you can avoid crowds. Very practical. This one’s a guest survey. And this is… …a mirror! Here’s an electric kettle. This bag here contains… …a hair dryer. Behind this door is the mini fridge. And there’s a safe tucked into the drawer below the fridge. There’s enough space under the bed to store a carry-on suitcase. You’ll also find more power outlets by the desk, plus an air purifier. Nice! There’s just one type of pillow. Next to the bed, there’s a power outlet and controls for the room lights. Very handy. There’s a small shelf too—perfect for placing your phone or small items. Let’s check out the unit bath. The bathroom is also compact, but everything you need is here. They’ve got bath towels ready. And of course, there’s a bidet-style toilet. There’s a toothbrush set and a cup. Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap—everything’s fully stocked. The water pressure seems pretty strong too. Some rooms with semi-double beds even come with a ReFa shower head! Even though it’s compact, the bathroom has everything I need. There’s a full-length mirror right by the door. Let’s check the emergency exit route—looks like my room is right in the center of the floor. Here’s the tag to use for multiple-night stays. There are three hangers available. And two pairs of slippers. There’s even a luggage rack. Here’s what the outside of the hotel looks like. It’s simple and modern, with a calm tone that blends well with the neighboring buildings. Alright, time to grab some dinner. Just a few seconds’ walk from the hotel, I spotted a place called “Horoyoi Jiro.” This bar-style restaurant is actually a nighttime version of the famous Western-style diner “Kitchen Jiro.” Their menu is alcohol-focused, so if you enjoy drinks, this spot is perfect. The wooden interior creates a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Let’s take a look at the menu. Just like the sign says—“affordable menu”—the prices here are amazing! Since this place originated as a Western-style diner, everything looks super appetizing. Even the meat dishes are under 1,000 yen… incredible. Today, I decided to skip the drinks for once and ordered the Chicken Nanban set meal. (lol) The chicken is grilled just right, and the tartar sauce makes it even more irresistible! You get the main dish, rice, and soup—all for just 1,050 yen. The meat was super tender and the flavor was so well-balanced. It was fantastic. I made sure to finish every last bite! I’m totally satisfied. That was delicious. Alright, time to head back to the hotel. Actually… when I turned around, it was right there. (lol) Back in the room now. The in-room loungewear is a one-piece dress style. It’s made of waffle fabric, so it feels nice and comfy. Now I’ll get a good rest so I can enjoy exploring tomorrow. Good night! Good morning! Not much sunlight comes through the window, so I was able to sleep really well. There’s a building really close outside the window. Let’s go have some breakfast. Even if your plan doesn’t include it, you can still add it for 1,500 yen. Breakfast is served near the front desk on the first floor. It can get a bit crowded in the morning, so it’s best to go early. I placed the “Occupied” card on my table and went to grab some food. Here’s the dessert and salad section. I started off with some salad. There are six kinds of sides to choose from. These are some small dishes to go along with the meal. It’s nice to be able to sample a little bit of everything. There’s furikake seasoning, pickled vegetables, and flavored seaweed too. Now for the main dishes. There were both Japanese and Western-style options. And here’s the beef stew! Apparently, this is only available at the Kudanshita location. I had to try it! I’ve got myself a delicious-looking breakfast. Salad, scrambled eggs, kinpira gobo, simmered hijiki, and grilled Spanish mackerel. Of course, I had to grab some natto too—one of my favorites. Here’s the beef stew—look at those chunks of meat! It looks amazing. I also brought over some curry! Alright, time to eat! They had run out of chicken when I was choosing dishes, but a staff member freshly grilled one and brought it right to my table! They even added some salad with it. It was delicious—thank you for the meal! Now let’s go check out the laundry room on the 6th floor. There are four drum-style washing machines here. They’re coin-operated. In the middle of the room, there’s an ice machine. On the other side, there’s a microwave and a vending machine. You can even buy alcoholic drinks here. You can check out at the kiosk or at the front desk. That was my stay at Keio Presso Inn Tokyo Kudanshita. The room was compact but clean, and I had a very comfortable stay. It’s a great option when access is key—whether you’re in town for an event or on business. Here’s what the hotel looks like during the day. The beige exterior blends into the town but still makes a statement. Alright, let’s head out for a walk. I started walking in the direction of Yasukuni-dori from the hotel. I arrived at the big Kudanshita intersection. From this intersection, you can spot Kudan Kaikan Terrace, Showa-kan Museum, and the entrance to Kudanshita Station. This is also where the paths split toward Nippon Budokan and Yasukuni Shrine. Today, I decided to head toward the Budokan. I went straight up Kudanzaka. It’s a bit steep, so be careful if you’re carrying luggage. The Budokan is surrounded by a moat. It’s located within Kitanomaru Park, which is also a famous cherry blossom spot in spring. The Chidorigafuchi walking path is also stunning during cherry blossom season, especially at night when it’s all lit up. There it is—the Budokan’s signature rounded roof coming into view! Are these water lilies? In summer, they bloom with beautiful white and pink flowers. That’s a cherry blossom tree. It turns pink in the spring, but the lush green is lovely right now too. This is Tayasu-mon Gate, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property. It’s stood here guarding the north side of Edo Castle since 1636. The structure is so solid and powerful—it’s hard to believe something this grand was built over 400 years ago. Right after passing through the gate, I got a clear view of the Nippon Budokan! This iconic venue is known as a sacred hall for both martial arts and music. It’s famous worldwide as a dream stage for performers. The building has a unique octagonal design, inspired by the Yumedono Hall at Horyuji Temple in Nara. At the center of the roof is a golden ornament that sparkles beautifully, especially at night when it’s lit up. On this day, a national judo tournament was being held. The calligraphy for “Budokan” was done by Tendai Hidai. The bold brushstrokes are so powerful and striking. The weather was perfect, and the golden ornament was gleaming even more under the sun! This park has so much greenery—it’s hard to believe I’m still in the middle of Tokyo. Walking through all this green space feels so refreshing. I found a path called “Chidorigafuchi Walking Trail.” It takes about an hour and a half to explore the whole area at a relaxed pace. I kept walking toward Daikancho Street. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Nippon Budokan. The area is busier here. I can see office buildings in the distance—it feels like the city again. This western-style building is the Former Imperial Guard Headquarters. Its classic architecture really stands out. I got thirsty from all the walking, so I stopped by a café. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the historic building I just visited. It has a nostalgic Showa-era atmosphere, with a striking red brick exterior. They also serve lunch sets and breakfast! The neon sign adds a nice retro vibe. Inside, the Showa-style decor continues. It feels like a relaxing place to unwind. I ordered an iced coffee. After walking around so much today, it tastes extra good. Thank you so much for watching until the end! I’ll be sharing more videos about hotels and sightseeing spots in Japan, so please don’t forget to subscribe!

近所に来てくださってありがとう!
ほろ酔いジローに、行ってみたいと思いました。
The good side of the suite, the shower water pressure was really good for the price to stay. The downside would be the safety, the window couldn't open because it is blocked by building beside. If a hotel is caught fire, I am not sure where to escape.
Tayasumon Gate and Budokan seems like a cool place to visit. Especially Budokan, if there are judo events, I would like to find out the Japanese culture during the event.
I have learned about another new place (for me) in Tokyo, thanks to your video. Its so close to the emperors palace and to Tokyo station.
Its so interesting to discover new places in Tokyo thanks to your videos. The hotel looks fine, but for me, the window is too small and its not "see through" – thats something I dont like at all.
What a convenient hotel to stay in! Simple yet comfortable accommodations, and the breakfast variety is diverse enough that even I'd opt in! I usually skip hotel breakfasts because they don't serve enough Japanese food, but I appreciate how they provide a selection of both Western and Japanese foods. Also, perhaps this is just me being nitpicky, but it's appealing that they have more than two washing machines in the hotel (it feels like that's not common…) 😂 Anyway, thank you for another thorough review! 😊
Bellissimo hotel

Hello and thank you for another amazing video!! This hotel looked absolutely confortable and very convenient… with a room that looked really mega, always with everything needed for a nice stay with that big and comfy bed and soft atmosphere thanks to the chosen colors to it!! And the 'welcome note' was top notch alongside the TV showing the state of the hotel services is quite useful when one needs to use it!! And wow with Horoyoi Jiro…all the food looked so tempting – and quite nice affordable for everybody – that I wanted to come across the screen and grab some of it for myself!! Also the breakfast looked astounding great with all Western and Japanese options to choose… and the stroll to Budokan looked so amazing and relaxing with the birds chirping while crossing Tayasumon Gate, what looked for me like a portal to old times!! Love from Spain! 💚🇪🇦
love how you present all hotels.
Is the "Keio" in Keio Presso in the same as for the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku?
Хороший номер, завтракать можно в номере😊
In Canada we use tartar sauce for fish. What does nato taste like? Is it salty or sweet? Nice video.
