Trying Tokyo’s Best Street Food at Tsukiji Fish Market 🇯🇵🍣

Mhm. We are arriving in the famous fish market here in Tokyo and we’re super excited to try everything out. It is at the moment 10:30, so it’s a little bit uh late than what people suggested. So, I’m curious to see all the cubes and how bad it is. Let’s go. Here they have the mochi, but I feel like that’s dessert. No. Yeah. Also heard the rockmelon is very nice. What is it? Rockmelon. Melon. just known we made it. It seems to be very busy, but um let’s navigate. I’m not sure where I want to start or I have no idea where to start. I just passed the Mi I feel like it’s dessert. Four pieces for 1,000. Also looks nice. That’s reasonable. Yeah. So, we’re starting with one cup of tempura. Comes with four pieces. Okay, I’ll put it just on the side. Maybe like the sauce that that one like soy sauce over it. I love tempura. How’s the matcha on it? The matcha salt. Do you taste it? Um, not really. I don’t think I bit enough. Oh, seed a little bit. It’s good. It’s good. It’s not too like It’s just salty. Yeah. I love tempura, but it’s nothing. Just good tempura. very hot after I think so. I think we made it to the tuna spot, but it’s quite the queue that we have to wait in of the special fatty tuna. Yeah. Two very special fatty tuna and uh one chutro. Sorry. One chutro. One the lean. No, you want uh one uh medium medium tuna sushi. One medium. Yeah. And two special fatty. Okay. One and two. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Thank you. Yeah. Okay. So, everyone is getting these full on boxes, which is like €30, which is a bit much in my opinion, but I really wanted to try the special one. So, we got two of the special one so we can both try it. And Miguel wanted one of the lean ones to compare the flavors. Since my stomach is still not so good, I think one is enough for me. My mouth’s already stuffed. Very good. Very different than normal tuna. Also, normal tuna. I mean, tuna that I’m used to, right, that we eat. Um, very like more soft flavor. Very good. Very yummy. magic tower. Oh, okay. That’s so good. But I’m surprised at how different it is. Exactly. That’s what I meant. It’s so different than what we’re used to. Yeah. It’s like a different fish. Some people said they prefer the less fatty ones. I’ve heard people say It’s still the best that the other one. The other one and this one. No, no. I’m saying you got to try it. This one is still Oh, better than all the other ones than all other sushi, right? But you like the first one more, the very special. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay, cool. Very good. But yeah, it tasted like a completely different fish. So different than the tuna that I normally get in restaurants, right? Everyone said to come at like 6:00 or 7 in the morning when it just opened because of the cues, but in my experience, the cues aren’t bad at all. Like the tuna place was the longest, like 10 maybe 15 minutes max. I don’t even think so. Um, so yeah, don’t you don’t have to wake up that early. This is fine. This is fine. Yeah, these grapes massive. Look big like one special cake. Massive grapes. A cup is like €7. Uh different prices 750 850 like Look how big that is. Jeez. Wow. Wow. It’s so creamy. It’s like it has like butter inside or something. Like it’s very different. Wow. That’s so good. I’ve never had to eat in an oyster in two bites. Miguel really wants to try fresh uni, which is quite pricey, but we found like the cheapest spot now where it comes without rice. I think still,000 for one. Still 1 2 3 4 5 Okay, wait. We have to catch this on video. You want to try? No. You sure? I’m not sure. You think I would like it? Yeah. Okay. Maybe it’s like not my thing. too fishy. A little funky. It’s a little funky, but not crazy. I’m not too I’m not too into funky things. It’s like fine. It’s just a little Yeah. At first, like, oh yeah, creaming and has like a little funky after taste. Not my thing. A little sweet. Oh, I love it. I only had this like um like we’ve done it in Portugal, like my family. Yeah. But this tastes very different. Yeah. Yeah. Like it was more more fishy, less creamy. The ones we had in this is like super creamy. I found it very fishy. Even though I like fish, very fishy. When I saw this like online on Tik Tok, I feel like it looked like it was just uh one street. Not that big, but it’s massive. It’s like a whole block with side streets of restaurants and so many stands. It’s way bigger u than I thought or that it seemed like. It’s a generous scoop. It’s a generous scoop. 1,000. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. One of my favorites. I’m not allowed to stand there. If you don’t like fishy things, like I think that’s like the ultra fishiest. This looks really good. I really want this one. The grapes strawberries. I assume going to go for munchi. They also have melon. How is it? It’s good. Good. Really good. I love This is more for me. This is the sweetest strawberry I’ve ever had. Is it not the 10 kilos of sugar it has on it?
