I Visited the Side of Japan No One Shows You 🇯🇵| Hidden Life in Numazu
So, I’m going to try this. Kim, Kim, everyone dreams of Osaka,
Tokyo, but this this is the Japan no one really shows you. A small fishing town
where life moves slow, the food is fresh, and every face has its own story. Welcome
to Numazu, the Japan that still feels real. Numazu is a small fishing town known for its
you know fishing port and its stunning view of the Mount Fuji. So I decided to move away or
get away from the city life and see how locals spend their day, what they eat, and how life
is here for the locals in this small fishing town. So you’re welcome. And if you’re new, you
know what to do. Hit the subscribe button, like, comment, and share. Let me know what you think
after watching this video. Yeah, this is how the locals spend their day. You can see early
in the morning them eating and seeing the fish being prepared. All of that. And I can’t wait
to try some of the freshest fish here in Numazu. Yeah. So, you can see someone fishing over there,
you know. Yeah. And of course, my first stop is going to be Numazu fish market because it is the
heart, you know, of this town. So, we’re going to get some of the fresh fish and try and also maybe
interact with some of the locals there. Yeah. look. Wow. Wow. Oh, wow. Maguro Yeah, guys. Magurro and hata. Yeah. So,
I’m going to try magro. Yeah. and hot. Wow. Ghana. Hi. Okay. Ghana Ghana. Wow, guys. So, Mr. Makoto, you know, recommended Maguro and I forgotten the other name. Yeah. So before I go inside and try the food. Hello. You
good? Yeah. I just want to, you know, walk around, see how the place is here. Wow, guys. And
the locals here are really friendly. Wow. Look at this bike. Yeah. So, this is how the
town is. Yeah. That’s Mount Fuji over there. Yeah, you know. So that that’s the mountain,
you know. So basically, this is where the locals come get
some fresh fish early in the morning, you know, the freshest ones. So, I’ll be
going in to try some of the fresh fish. Wow, guys. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Wow, guys. This is the second time. It’s
a andro. So, two people said aji and maguro. So, let’s go inside and see if we can, you know,
get some of the aji and maguro over there. foreign. Yeah, guys. So, she said this is really
delicious. So, you’re going to get the fresh fish and come here and buy this one.
Okay. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Now what I’ve noticed is this place feels like a different you know
world all together cuz you don’t see like you know clouds of people here. You see you don’t
see neon lights. All you see is you know family running their businesses you know fish shops,
their markets you know just like this one here. Nice. Wow, this place is really calming me down. Yeah, guys. Wow. So, I’m going to try
this. Akimbe Kimbe Kimbe. Nice. This is really very delicious. Wow. Sabis. Where are you from? From Ghana. Ghana.
Yeah. I’m from Nepal. Nepal. Yeah, I know Nepal. Wow. So, he’s from Nepal. So, how
long have you been here? No English. No English. Oh wow. So he’s in they have another
shop. So he moves from you know places to places you know from one shop
to to the other. Then he came from Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah. Wow, people are so friendly here, guys.
They also have this fish market that we can just go inside and explore. But I
think here will be okay. You can see the fresh fish like 3 for,500 and here one
for 500 yen. This big one. Wow. Hello. Wow. Wow. Wow, guys. Wow. We are all friendly here. So
this is sabah and aji. So this is the fish two guys there recommended to me to try. Yeah. But a
lot of shops here, a lot of places to go and this place like people are really minding their own
business there. Look at this place too. I think we should talk to this girl. Hello. Can I talk to
you? Hello. So, where you from? Nepal. Wow. Guys, another friend here from Nepal. What’s your name?
Manisha. Manisha. Wow. So, how long have you been in Japan? How long have you been in Japan? 4
months ago. 4 months. Wow. Do you like it here? You really like it? Wow. Nice. So, you live in uh
Numi. Num. Wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. Your name again? Manisha, Manisha. Okay. Okay. Okay. Enjoy your day
and maybe I’ll see you later. Okay. Wow. Nice. So, I thought I was the only foreigner here.
But meeting the lady and the guy from the same country in Nepal, you know, I’m impressed.
I mean, to see foreigners here. Yeah. Yeah. So, my next stop is going to be this spot right here.
Here you get a chance to choose what you want to eat, you know. Then you can get a place, you
get a place or a plate like a heating pot to, you know, boil or heat or, you know,
toast. like in a barbecue style. So, we’re going inside to see if I can, you know, get
some fresh fish and you get a plate like this, hot pot or hot plate like this and, you know, heat
it up. You have so many kinds of fish here like this. Yeah. Look at this fish here. Very big. And
this red fish. Wow, this look very delicious. Wow, there’s a lot of fish here to choose. Look at the Y there. Wow. Wow, you guys. All right. Yeah. So, she’s going to show me cuz
all of them say a andro. Yeah. So, I want her to show me which one is the
most delicious here. Sashio. Tachi. Wow. Wow. guys. Like the people here
are so different. I don’t know. Guys, the feeling, the vibe they giving me here
is, you know, really crazy and I’m loving it. I feel like moving here, you know, to stay here and
maybe probably work with them. Wow, look at this. Fresh, fresh, fresh fish. Wow. So, I think it’s time to, you know, choose and
try some of the, you know, food here. Yeah. You can’t come to Numazu without, you know, visiting the fish market. And here you get
the chance to, you know, choose whatever you want to eat and just put it on the fire here.
Then grill it so that you can, you know, eat. Look at how yummy the fish is. Man, I can’t wait. This is really good. Wow. I don’t really know the
name of this fish, but trust me, it’s really tasty. So this is how the locals here celebrate
their I mean or spend their Sunday. Yeah. You see families, you know, you see kids
with their mom, dad here at the fish market, trying and enjoying their Sunday. They’re not in a rush. Just a normal Sunday
for them here. Unlike the big cities, you know, you have to, you know, like if
you go to a lime, you have to eat fast, leave for the next one to come in. But here, you
know, there’s two families here, mine and over there enjoying the food and it’s really You
also have this on the fire right now. Yeah. And the place is also getting busy.
You see people coming inside know I think most of them are here to buy it and
take it home so that they can you know Right. So the moment the moment I’m waiting for
is when this here, you know, starts to explode. Yeah. So I’m
just waiting for it to explode. Look at how big and sweaty it is. Wow, guys. This looks very yummy. He’s the next one. Get your hands. That’s it. Right. Moments like this makes me feel Japan
is not all about the big cities, you know. It’s about the people just like here is the people that keeps you
know this town running and alive all the time. Look at how busy a Sunday morning in a fishing
village or town in Japan looks like. You know, just a whole world different vibe
all together. Yeah. Cuz I met I met an old fisherman who told me the
sea gives and also teaches patience. It really hit me because we’re in a world where
everything is moving so fast. But here in Numazu, it teaches you to be patient. You know, move slow,
take one step at a time and enjoy life. I really enjoyed the conversation with this Oldman
moment like this. It’s a whole vibe on real mind you there are no tourists here.
The place is not crowded like Tokyo. It’s just the locals enjoying a Sunday
morning. It’s just 10:42 a.m. here. You see, look at how busy it is here. Look at how
this place families over there enjoying you know the people enjoying
a very lovely Sunday morning. Wow, nice. Can you imagine? I drove 30 minutes to see
the Mount Fuji. But today is very cloudy, so there’s no way you can, you know, see the
mountain. Hello. Hello. Hello. Wow. Nice to meet you. Nice to meet you. Uh, yeah. So you know
this bridge will take you up there so that you can get the beautiful view of the mount Fujiba. Today
is very cloudy so I don’t know if we can see the mountain but look at the view here from this side
and you can also see some buildings over there. They have this security and other girls. I
think they are foreigners. Yeah. And I don’t know where they are from. Oh guys, you cannot
see the mountain Fuji. I think it’s over there, right? But this is really bad. This is really
bad. But it’s all good. It’s good. I came here. So if you’re planning on visiting Shizoka or
Numazu, you can pass through here. There’s a free parking as well. You can just park your
car and come here. You can see the beautiful view of the mountain. Yeah. But since
it’s cloudy, you can’t see the mountain there. And they also have some mountain
views here, too. Yeah. Yeah, guys. So, I didn’t get to see the almighty
Mount Fuji. Yeah. But this, you know, place looks amazing. Yeah. They also have some
people taking pictures here. Yeah. Yeah, guys. So, this will be the end of today’s vlog. If
