Bus Travel in Japan 🇯🇵

have your card both getting on and off. 700 and the ZU. Yes. Okay. Thank you very much. Apparently the buses are every 20 minutes. So hopefully I get on the next one. This is how many people are waiting in the queue. Okay, we’re boarding now. So that was only about 3 minutes wait. I think I got lucky. Oh wait. Oh no. Oh okay. I think she said four more people. I think I got lucky. super lucky. I would have to wait another 20 minutes literally. So, I just realized that when I got on the bus, I didn’t tap my card or pay any money or anything. And I was kind of worried about that, but they’ve just made an announcement that apparently you pay when you get off. How do I pay? Okay, just tap this. Well, that was easy. A nice, comfortable 40minute bus ride. I like how well organized everything is in Japan. You know, if I was in another country trying to take a bus from A to B, it would be chaos. But in Japan, everything’s organized. Everything’s made simple. And now I’m here in the historic town of Desiper.

I travelled from Fukuoka to Dazaifu by bus. It was easier than I thought, as there was no need to purchase a ticket, just queue up at the terminal and tap my IC card to pay.

  1. You had to tap the IC card both when hopping onto the bus and when you got off. It wasn't a problem though because if you don't tap beforehand the driver can still manually register your card, but it may take a few seconds.

(I think this is what happened when you tapped your card, because it said "error" on the driver's console)

Sometimes it isn't required to tap twice, some other times it is.

  2. I can't help it with this colorful latern Dale!! I just find them as remarkable, elegant and unique, but ignore my distractions for now, hahaha!!! The line must've been so unbearable to handle, and it's our enemy, wasn't it Dale?? It just felt like an New York vibe moment because the line would grow super long and it gets so chaotic over there, but good thing that I don't live in New York at all. If I live in New York, I would've fall for it to confront of how life is over there with the crazy line, but I'm mostly located in Southern California. 🎐🎐😍🎴🇯🇵😟😢😰
