It is a breezy autumn day. Today I brought a tent that is very easy to set up. First, the thick PVC ground sheet. The compact size makes the setup quick and easy. Just pump the air and the tent is ready. Shake the air beam gently to help the air fill evenly. Soon it takes the shape of a beautiful air tent. The calm khaki color matches the autumn perfectly. Since autumn has big temperature changes, I inflated it to 6.5 psi. It is a bit funny, but kicking the air beam from inside makes it stand nice and straight. Since this is the first setup, I am airing it out and removing dust. The air poles are so thick that they can stand without pegs. But since I plan to attach the air tarp, I will secure the tent firmly. I fixed the tent tightly using the guy lines. Oops, I think I pitched the tent backwards. But both sides are dockable, so it is fine. It gets cold in the evening, so I will make a front space with the air tarp. The set includes a tarp, air poles, mesh window, and TPU window. Connecting the tent and tarp with a zipper is so convenient. Fasten the buckle so the zipper does not open. The black-coated tarp can also be installed with normal poles. But I will connect the air poles for an easier setup. With only one pole, it is finished in seconds. Inflate to 7 psi so it stays firm even under tension. Just drive in three pegs in line with the tent, and it is done. Attach the strings to the pegs and the air tarp setup is complete. It has double windows, mesh outside and black-coated skin inside. To avoid going outside at night, I installed the zipper window inside. It is nice that I can set it up in a way that suits me best. After two years of camping, Ro-un now finds things to help with. The size fits perfectly. I set up half foam mat and half air mat. To make it more comfortable with Ro-un, I will install an air sofa. Ventix Air Sofa. Watch carefully and see what it becomes. It gives a new kind of comfort, different from camping chairs. I am excited for this cozy camping trip. The weather now makes electric mats essential. I thought he wanted me to open his drink. But he actually brought it for me to drink while resting. He has grown up so much. Mom, I love you. Does it taste cooler because I am sitting next to you? Wow, the beer tastes so refreshing. I adjusted the Kazmi kitchen table to one level to match the sofa height. It was quiet, and I found out he spilled his drink while pouring it alone. He completed his mission to bring back a trash bag. But he came back hiding something behind his back. Ro-un bought snacks on credit. He is sitting alone setting up the lights. It feels like we have a new shared hobby. It is getting dark, so I will start preparing dinner. Fish cake soup with sea snails and udon noodles. Even after cooling it down, the fish cakes are still hot. We blow on the hot fish cakes before eating. The chewy sea snails taste amazing with spicy sauce. There are still mosquitoes, so we lit a large mosquito coil. It got chilly, and when I turned on all the heaters at once, the power breaker tripped because of high voltage. Since it is not a big tent, these heaters are enough. The khaki tent looks beautiful in the soft night breeze. Fish cakes were not enough, so I grilled some lamb chops. Ro-un enjoys lamb more than beef. He eats the lean meat, and I grill the ribs for myself. We went for a walk to help digestion. He said he would fight the monsters and told me to follow behind him. The tent was soaked with morning dew. As the sun rose, it dried quickly and seasoned well. Since it is a cotton tent, we slept comfortably and peacefully. The khaki color blocks glare, so it is easy to sleep. Since it is near home, Ro-un goes to kindergarten. There are many events before the holidays, so we cannot skip them. While alone, I spend time doing whatever I want. Why do I find this so much fun? It feels like an upgraded version of the pretend play I did as a child. Lighting the fire with a fire stick made me feel so proud. I picked up acorn shells scattered on the ground and burned them together. Finally, the fire spicy noodles I never got to eat. I put the creamy carbonara fire noodles aside for now. I will grill thin pork belly slices and eat them together. The combination of spicy noodles and savory pork is perfect. The firm air mattress feels less soft. So I usually use the Nuzam spring topper instead. When I want more space, I lay it flat on the floor instead of using an air mat. The golden fried chicken is delivered to my friend’s tent. Ro-un is happier when camping with friends. At night, dew made it hard to start the fire. As expected. The wood was damp, so it took a while even with a torch. The tent view looks beautiful in the light. Feeling the warmth of the fire reminds me. It is the perfect season for camping. Today we are leaving early to visit the family graves before the holidays. So we are packing up early. I forgot to close the door. I wondered how to fold the air tarp without poles or a floor. Lay the poles down and release the air to flatten them. Hold both corners of the tarp connected to the tent. Spread it neatly over the entrance to make a pentagon shape. Fold the top vertex of the entrance inward to tidy it up. Fold the skirt inward for a cleaner finish. Since the air poles, mesh window, and black coating are all attached, the next setup will be even easier. I tied an extra belt I had at home to the air tarp. The packed size is small, perfect for winter camping with lots of gear. I started camping to show nature to my child. But I chose an air tent to camp safely and comfortably like at home. It is strong against rain, wind, and cold, and easy for one person to set up. Camping with my child through all four seasons has been a precious gift for both of us, especially for me.
