Follow my son Tom’s recent holiday adventures in Japan.
We visit Japan’s second city, Osaka and explore the Umeda Sky Building: A futuristic twin-tower with a floating observatory offering fantastic panoramic views of the city.
We travel on the Sky Escalators. Suspended between the towers, these glass-enclosed escalators give a surreal sensation of floating above the city.
A highlight is a visit to the Kuchu Teien Observatory—a 360-degree open-air deck on the 39th and 40th floors.
