【高松→神戸】1万円の足湯付きフェリーに初乗船、こんなはずじゃなかった…

Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! I’m in Takamatsu, Kagawa today! I’ve been curious about this forever— I’m finally getting on the Jumbo Ferry “Aoi”! We’re cruising across the Seto Inland Sea to Kobe! This ferry “Aoi” is actually super popular among ferry fans, and it’s even called a “terrace resort floating on the Seto Inland Sea.” The facilities on board are amazing too— it’s not just transportation, the ride itself is part of the adventure! It’s that kind of ferry. So today, I’m gonna enjoy a special time out at sea to the fullest! ※Jumbo Ferry Takamatsu Boarding Terminal – Takamatsu East Port Alright, let’s head inside! This is the Jumbo Ferry terminal here in Takamatsu. I already bought my ticket online beforehand, so I just have to scan the QR code from my email and I can board, easy peasy. Looks like I don’t even need to exchange a paper ticket! There it is—the Jumbo Ferry Aoi! ※The name “Aoi” was inspired by the blue sea, blue sky, and blue breeze of the Seto Inland Sea. Alright, let’s hop on! I don’t have much time, so let’s hurry! Apparently, I forgot to register my email address in advance, so it took me a bit to type it in… Gotta run…! Wait, what—do I have to go up those stairs? Oh no… I’ve got a huge suitcase with me today, this is seriously tough… Alright, let’s do this…! ※She’s ridiculously bad at anything physical. Ouch ouch ouch… Well, since this isn’t a long-distance ferry, I guess they don’t expect people to show up with big suitcases. But I’ve been traveling nonstop, so yeah… suitcase life. “Do you have your QR code?” “Yes, I do!” Phew, made it just in time! Hi there! I’m on the first floor right now, and I’m taking the elevator up to the second floor. There are stairs too, but… I’ve got way too much luggage, okay? (excuses…) Wow… this is awesome… Everything feels so new—it’s my first time on this ferry! The vibe here is just perfect. Maybe I’ll come back later and explore the ship more slowly. For now, I’m gonna drop off my luggage in my room and head up to the terrace on the 4th floor! We’re leaving in just a few minutes, so I wanna watch the departure! Everything looks so clean and nice. Maybe because this ferry’s still pretty new? The vibe is just really good here. ※There’s even a grassy area on the deck! Wow… I’ve been on a bunch of ferries before, but this one feels like my very first time again. Isn’t this like… way too stylish? It’s seriously amazing. Oh no… the sun’s super strong today… It’s so hot… Too hot… I literally started fanning myself with my hand (lol) The ferry’s slowly starting to move. Bye-bye, Kagawa! I had such a great time! I’ll definitely be back! Since it’s midday, the sea’s sparkling like crazy. So shiny and bright! Theme song / ♪ “Jumbo Ferry, Connecting Two Hearts” ※Never heard it before, but let’s just sing it with passion anyway! Hello everyone, and welcome aboard the Jumbo Ferry! This ship is called the terrace resort “Aoi,” floating on the Seto Inland Sea. We’ll be heading to Kobe, stopping by Shodoshima along the way. Now that we’ve safely departed, let me show you the cabin I’ll be staying in today! My room’s just past section 3B, it’s number 309 right over here. ※You can unlock it even at sea by scanning the QR code! This is the “Relax Balcony Private Room.” Here’s what it looks like inside— there are three cushions in the room, and the layout’s actually pretty simple overall. But there’s this private balcony, which makes it feel super special! I think this might actually be my first time on a ferry with a balcony! I’ll show you what it’s like to step out onto the balcony later too! Alright, without further ado— let’s go explore the rest of the ship! Here’s what the entrance area of the ferry looks like. Isn’t this crazy!? It’s way too stylish… There’s a kids’ space on the left, but isn’t it a little too mature for kids? And right next to the entrance, there’s a little shop like this. They sell all kinds of souvenirs from Kobe, and even some official Jumbo Ferry merch! These postcards are so cute! I kinda wanna buy all of them… ※But I had no one to actually send them to. Look, look! Wow… It’s a piano… playing another piano? (wait, what?) And next to the shop, there’s a counter where they sell things like beer and snacks. But since I’m still exploring right now, I’ll come back later for sure. On the Jumbo Ferry Aoi, there are private rooms like mine today, but also open seating areas like this one. Here’s what that looks like! This area actually looks super comfy too! Here’s the layout of the ship: B1 and 1F are for vehicles, and floors 2 to 4, plus the rooftop, are for passengers to relax and hang out. Besides the private rooms like mine, there are lots of premium seats too, and I’ll show you those later! If you go this way, you’ll find a gate that kinda looks like a train ticket barrier. ※Apparently this is the premium seat area for ticket holders only! That’s so cool—feels like boarding a train! Alright, let’s scan the QR code and head inside! I’m in! Inside this exclusive area, they have Comfort Reclining Seats and Relax Loft Private Rooms. There’s even a pet-only area! I wonder if there’s a dog in there right now. There’s also this café lounge called “Komame,” but… no one’s here at the moment. It’s still such a cozy, stylish space though. Oh—hey, that’s me! Yay! And this here is the exclusive terrace for premium seat passengers— it’s got that forward-deck vibe! Let’s step outside for a sec. Ahh, the breeze feels amazing! You get to enjoy this beautiful front view all to yourself. Wow… Watching from right up front makes it feel like we’re speeding! This is so cool. Oh my gosh—look, it’s insanely pretty! ※The Seto Inland Sea glowing in the western sun is just too gorgeous… ※Seeing this alone made the trip worth it. What a view. Absolutely stunning. So, the biggest surprise on this ferry— there’s one total wow point… Here at “Kumo no Yu,” they’ve got a large public bath and even a footbath! A footbath on a ferry—how cool is that? Up ahead is the “Umi no Terrace,” where you can soak your feet while enjoying the view. There are people there right now, so I’ll come back later and show it to you properly. We’re about to dock at Sakate Port on Shodoshima. Since we’re getting off at Kobe, we can’t disembark here. So I’m just sneaking a little peek. Wow, those mountains look like dinosaurs live there. I’ve actually never been to Shodoshima, and I used to read it as “Azuki Island” forever. I wanna come back properly and do some sightseeing. We’ve docked at Shodoshima, and after this quick stop, we’re heading on to Kobe. We’ll be setting sail again soon. Nobody’s here now, so it’s finally time for that dream ferry footbath! No way… it doesn’t even feel like we’re on a ferry. ※Blown away by my first-ever ferry footbath. This feels amazing. So cozy and warm. Wild—soaking my feet while floating on the sea. It’s oddly dreamy and super fun. I call myself a ferry nerd, but this still totally surprised me. From the footbath, the ocean is right there in front of you. Isn’t this incredible? The water’s nice and warm, and it’s making me sleepy… A lot of ferries have “panorama baths,” which basically means a big bath with windows so you can see the view. But you usually go at night, so you don’t actually see much of the scenery. This time we departed at 2 p.m., so I can enjoy the full view like this while soaking my feet—pure bliss. I could totally stay here all the way to Kobe, but that’d kinda waste the premium ticket, you know? So, I’ll head out for a bit! Look at this! The floor here’s just like the one at Tokyo Tower— you can see right through it! Whoa… You can actually see the ocean below! ※By the way, towels are about $1.30 each. It’s been about an hour and a half since we left port, and I’m starting to get pretty hungry. When you think of Kagawa, it’s gotta be udon, right? I hope there’s a place on board where I can eat some. Oh wait—there it is! “Funepippi Udon!” They even have udon-only seats! ※As expected from a ferry departing from Kagawa—true dedication! ※Ordering’s all touchscreen-style, and the menu’s super varied! I ordered the Sanuki Lemon Udon. It looks sooo good! Alright, let’s dig in! ※?! No no no… this isn’t what it looks like…! I just call beer “high-octane fuel for humans,” so… I was just refueling, okay? ※Frustrated I couldn’t make a good pun with “Aoi.” ※I’ll train harder next time! I also ordered something called “Yamaji no Ebisshu.” It’s so cute! It’s got plump, juicy shrimp inside! There’s actually a sister ship on the same route called the Jumbo Ferry Ritsurin, but this time, I specifically chose to ride the Aoi instead. Turns out, this “Yamaji no Ebisshu” I’m eating now is only available on the Jumbo Ferry Aoi! Apparently, the Ritsurin II and Aoi have slightly different items you can buy onboard. ※There are so many menu items I couldn’t possibly show them all! ※They even have around twenty kinds of udon—crazy, right?! That was delicious! I’m stuffed! Next, I think I’ll go explore the third floor. Alright, heading up to the 3rd floor! Here’s what the 3rd floor looks like— it’s actually the same level as my room. You can step out onto the observation deck through this door, and if you go further down the hallway, there’s a vending machine corner here! They’re even selling eel in one of the machines—what the heck?! This spicy hamburger curry— isn’t this the same one I ate on the Ocean Tokyu Ferry the other day? It looks exactly the same! And if you go even further inside… there’s a game corner here! Might as well give it a try! Look, look—this little dog is so cute! I’m gonna go for that one. Whoa, it’s $1.30 per try? That’s pricey… ※Let’s stay positive. Ugh, the worst… Ah… what I feared has happened. Alright, I’m getting it on the next one for sure! Pleaseee…! No way… it’s not even close… ※I can’t give up now. ※If I win, I’m naming it “Jan-Ken.” Oh nooo… This claw has zero strength… Unbelievable… I didn’t win a single thing… I got so frustrated I ended up spending $13! I’m in shock… This area here, section 3C, is called the “Relax Seat Annex.” It’s a chill area where you can just lie down and relax. But there’s barely anyone here. ※I could’ve bought a seat here with what I spent on the claw machine. Back at the footbath for round two! This really is the best spot—so relaxing. Nothing beats a footbath after a beer! The sun’s starting to set and it’s getting chilly, so this feels perfect right now. I booked the second sailing this time because I really wanted to see the sunset from the ferry. When I went up to the observation deck earlier, the view was absolutely stunning! They also have a midnight ferry, but I’d definitely recommend the second one instead. The scenery’s just too beautiful. And for some reason, nobody else seems that into the footbath, so it’s been empty the whole time! Basically, I’ve had it all to myself. Lucky me! It’s been about 2 hours and 40 minutes since departure, and we’re now in the middle of the Harima-nada Sea. We’ll be passing under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge soon! It’s my first time seeing it during the day, so I’m super excited! Alright, next up— I’m heading to a spot called “Hikari no Terrace,” or the Terrace of Light! I’ll take these stairs from the “Kaze no Terrace” I was just at and head up to the next level. This is the view from the Terrace of Light! ※A view so beautiful it blows away all your worries. Look at that— the sunlight shining from the west side of the ship is just dazzling! Wow… This feels amazing. Oh—there it is! The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge! It’s so beautiful… seriously stunning! I was thinking “Yay, first time seeing it in daylight!” but the sun already set before I knew it. ※No matter how many times I see it, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge always takes my breath away. The bridge lights actually change depending on the day of the week or the time of day. I’m so glad the lights are on tonight! If I remember right, the color of the lights changes too, right? We’re about to go right under it! Currently directly under the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge! Just saw the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge up close— it was absolutely gorgeous! I could even see it from my balcony earlier, and it was such a beautiful view. Speaking of which, let’s step out onto that balcony now! Here’s what the balcony looks like— there are two chairs for sitting and enjoying the view, and the night scenery is absolutely stunning. It’s glowing in rainbow colors! Kobe’s night view is seriously amazing… ※A Kobe night cruise would totally be fun too. I wonder if people on that side— can see this ferry glowing just like that? Wow… The night view’s so beautiful, I could honestly just stare at it forever and never get bored. But… I might’ve made a mistake, actually. This room I’m staying in is the “Relax Balcony Private Room,” but there were so many other cozy rooms too, and the facilities were already super nice… so maybe I didn’t need to go for such a fancy one. I actually booked the most expensive room on the whole ferry! Kinda feels like I overdid it… The Jumbo Ferry Aoi actually has 11 different seating types onboard, and except for the open seats, they’re all premium! I’ll put the list up right here, so pause the video if you wanna take a look! I’d heard rumors for a while that the Jumbo Ferry Aoi had amazing facilities onboard— and wow, they weren’t kidding! This might’ve been the longest ship exploration I’ve ever done. Plus, it’s my favorite route—the Seto Inland Sea— so the water’s calm, barely any waves… it’s been such a smooth ride. They also have something called a “Ship Stay Plan,” where you can actually stay overnight onboard. That’s something I really wanna try next time! If any of you have done it before, please tell me what it was like in the comments! Wait—why do I look so bossy sitting like this… ※Not exactly the posture of someone asking for advice. We’ll be arriving in Kobe Port in about 30 minutes, so I’m gonna relax a bit longer in my room to make the most of it! We’ll be arriving at Kobe Port in approximately fifteen minutes. Please make sure to gather your belongings and prepare to disembark. Thank you. We’re now arriving at Kobe Port. I stopped by the souvenir shop one last time and got the official ship stamp! As expected from the Aoi— it’s bright blue! And of course, I bought a keychain too! It’s so cute! ※Tidying up the cabin that kept me comfortable this trip. We’ve arrived at Kobe Port! This is actually the same terminal I used for the Miyazaki Car Ferry before. Kinda nostalgic! I’ve always wanted to try the Jumbo Ferry Aoi, and it really lived up to the hype. The facilities were even better than I imagined— especially that amazing footbath! Honestly, I could’ve stayed in there forever… but that would’ve been rude to others, and my feet would’ve turned into raisins, so I gave up. 😂 The Jumbo Ferry Aoi is actually really affordable, and the trip only takes about five hours—not bad at all! The ride was super smooth too— so I think it’s perfect for first-time ferry travelers! Even ferry beginners would totally enjoy this one. Also, that “Funepippi Udon” was delicious— I heard the Sanuki Lemon Udon I picked was actually their most popular item! Getting to enjoy a true taste of Kagawa made this trip even more special. Thanks so much for watching until the very end today! If you enjoyed this video, please don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! See you next time—bye-bye!
