Open top bus tour ending on Kokusaidori in Naha #Meta #AI

Boarding the double decker here. Yeah, this is nice. Nice. Very nice. Uh I’m on the top level. Top level here. I got a good view. The bus is late. Actually, there’s only three people who booked this tour. The bus is empty, man. So they made us wear a hat here which kind of makes makes us look silly. Anyway, the bus is moving. So it came with a QR code. It opens a URL website which with uh smart audio guidance system. And here’s the itinerary. All right, we go through all these routes. 58 of Anong Bosuku, Kyama Park, Naha City, Nakamine Station, Airsult Defense Force, Naha Air Base, SA Sams, Saga Island. Oh So based on location, it opens up the audio guide airport. Okay. A bunch of other places. Wow, this is then we go back to Kokasai. Oh, it’s a very short tour. So, we’re now in route 58 here. It’s a major artiller road that runs vertically from Na City to the northern tip of Kunigam village. Wow. It’s a major road here. So, the right hand side is the military port. Nah, military port. Well, it’s right hand side which is this side. We’re in Omanogu. Okay, it’s I don’t see much military right here. Okay, finally here we see small boats on the right coast guard. Really small. Not even a frigot, I’d say. And one of those uh I’m not sure what that ship is. On the left is Okyama Park. I don’t Okay, maybe we’re approaching Okyama Park. The size of the to six Tokyo domes generator sounds like JT vans. So this is Naha City. It’s explaining about the population of Naha. 310,000 people. It’s the most populous city in Okinawa Prefecture. It’s too bad the narration cannot be recorded on the meta glass. So the official flower here is Mugania butterfly is the go madara which is the largest butterfly in Japan. This is the one thing tour cannot control traffic from any city there’s freaking traffic me this bus is like a hop on hop off bus of the city of Nah. So overhead you see the UV rail the mono rail of Nah city it’s the main mode of transportation here since Naha city is very small. So we’re approaching Akamine station, the UI rail station on the left side of the intersection which we haven’t reached as a monument. It’s not working. So on the right is the Naha Air Self-Defense Force Air Service. This is the right side. It’s being blocked at all this construction on the right. So maybe you’ll see some of the Naha airfield on the right. Oh yeah, I do see some of the hangers. So I guess self defense force just rather small compared to Kadina Airways to be honest. There’s really not much to see in Nah. Let’s just think of this like like Hawaii. It’s uh actually not as big. I think Hawaii they combine all the islands is bigger I would say. Anyway, see some construction here. They’re expanding. Not sure what they’re expanding over there, but the some kind of overhead. I don’t think it’s a UI rail with some kind of overhead. track. On the left, you see some steakhouse. We’re approaching Saga Island, which I’ve already showcased yesterday. There’s not much to see. There’s just next to the NA International Airport. We were turning towards Sada Islands. Here, I see a plane taxiing in the airport. And on the left, for the Saga beach part of the Saga Island. Okay, you get to see more of Saga Island on the left. On the right, there’s people playing baseball. Now we’re really turning left. So, this is the first drop off my give us a few minutes to explore Saga Island. To be honest, I think I stay on the bus. Oh, this bus driver is really good. With that very tight space, you can maneuver the bus. I don’t think I can do this. This bus driver is is the best. Just observe this how close we are to this next bus. Wow. Wow. An excellent ride. I know this bus. This is a Chinese bus. Succeed bus. actually used that toilet before. So, it’s very memorable for me. So many people here. I think this is how they spend their weekends. It’s a Sunday today. You see the parents are spending their weekends in Sala Island. All these people right next to the National International Airport where the planes would be landing around that. That’s the landing strip over there. I don’t think there’s going to be a break for us. The driver just keeps on moving. He never intends to stop at all. This island is beautiful. It’s just not that big, you know. I’m not even sure why they call it island. It’s connected to Naha, but they still call it an island. And again, there’s the airport. I’m looking at it. We might see a plane landing. I’m actually taking off. And the bus is still moving. I think I prefer this because I really don’t want to have a break. I’d rather turn to as soon as possible so I can do some editing. We’re just moving around in a big circle here. Very big circle. Circle of driving. Huh. And there’s traffic up ahead as well. Look again. He’s using an Insta 360 camera, but he’s not walking or moving. Which is a big mistake. When you’re using 360, you should be moving around. So, the guy told us to follow him walk. I think it’s because of this terrible traffic. We’ll see. We’ll see what it says. It’s actually I’m just fascinated with all these small C cars here in Japan. A lot of the craps are boxy and small. They don’t sell them in America, which is too bad. At least we get to see the cost of the traffic in front. And eventually we’ll meet up with that double-decker bus up ahead. I hope. Oh, this is the break time. We’re supposed to return at 5:40. 5:40. 5:40. Come back here. This spot. Yeah. Okay. Thank you. See you. So, he’s giving us free time to explore since they’re stuck in traffic back there. It’s like more than an hour from now. What the heck am I going to do here for about one freaking hour? Just watch all this traffic. Again, this is a wide area guide map of Saga Island. Well, there’s the Naha Airport Expressway. The one they’re doing a construct. Oh, that’s the construction I saw earlier. And then he told me that this is an actual island separated. So that means we had to cross a bridge to get here. Just trying to find the bridge there. And that’s Oh yeah. So this is not a map of Saga Island. This is part is Saga Island. This a map of everything. Uh it says welcome to Tommy Gou city and Saga Islands just a small part of the city around here. Oh here we are here. So this is the bridge that cross and earlier we saw this expressway and it kind of stopped here because of the they’re still trying to finish up the construction and we went here cross the bridge. Now we’re in Saga Island. Got it. Aside from the DD Ride app, there’s the Go Ride app, which unfortunately you cannot register in the US. You have to have a Japanese phone to register it. So, Go is only for Japanese residents. And the rest of the taxes are unmarked. You just wave your hand. And the traffic is still there. Apparently, I just missed an F-15 landing. Oh man, another F-15 landing. It’s part of the Japanese Self-Defense Force. Look at the air brakes deployed. Oh, another one. Hold on. There’s three of them. Another F-15. They’re all coming for a landing. Okay, another one. Yeah, nice. It’s must be the F-15 Japanese variant there. It’s non-stop. This is the fourth one. At least the fourth one I’ve seen. So, could have been more while I was not paying attention. Another Japanese self-defense F-15. the Japanese variant. So, it’s not the newest F-15. I don’t think it has the AIA radar. Instead of the like the F-15E that still hasn’t been deployed yet, these three taxis are the taxis I see in Tokyo. They’re a specialized kind of Toyota taxi where the back is a sliding door, automatic sliding door. And uh the one in front is also a Toyota. This time a passenger plane is landing. So they’re using the same air strip as the Japanese self-defense force. It’s not Kadina. It’s a Naha airport which is being used by both the military and domest and civilian. So again, that’s the specialized Toyota taxi car which they don’t sell in the US. It only made for taxi purposes like in Hawaii. They they sell Poké Balls here. Exactly like Hawaii. And this is a restaurant of sorts since we still have plenty of time to kill. before and we meet up at 5:40. So, I ordered taco rice from this guy and since I don’t have cash left, I paid by credit card $1,200 yen. $37.88. Yeah, it’s taco rice isn’t bad. Another plane landing. So, apparently there’s a lot of Nepalese working here. This guy has his own business. He owns this. Well, I’m not sure if he owns it, but he runs this place. This is nice with a cool breeze and the sea and the airport runway there. And there’s a couple here being photographed. I think they’re getting ready for a wedding. So, this is like a photo shoot of some sorts. And the bus is over there. I still have 5 minutes left. So, I’m taking advantage of the breeze, the cool breeze here. Inside the bus is very hot. So, okay. Waterfall shot of Saga Island with the 360 here. Okay, going around again. 360 and that’s where air planes land in that direction. And that’s where I ate earlier, the taco rice. And back to the bus, I guess. H climbing up the steps and I’m the first one again here. Looks like it’s going to be a long long tour here. Okay, I’m not capturing. So, no more traffic. We’re just moving as slow as molasses here. I spoke too soon. There is freaking traffic up ahead. I should have read the clock description. This Umakai Jeez, that is Saga Jima is actually Saga Island. The one we just had a big break, like an hour break. And now we go back to Kokus. So, here’s a Google Maps overview of where we are right now. We’re here. The beach is here. This is Saga Island. This hotel is the Sagajima story line. It’s a beautiful hotel. So, no more traffic. We’re going back to Kokoai Dori or Kokoai Street. And this is the end of my video. here. 2 km away. It’s just traffic. It’s going to take us half an hour. That’s the Japanese coast guard. two ships we saw earlier on the left side. I think we’re here already. My hotel is over there. I believe over this direction. We’re going to have to make a U-turn from here to get there. I’m not sure why this bus going around in circles. Should make a right turn at some point. Here we go. Here. This is Kokasai. Yeah, we’re back in Kokasai here. Might as well record the entire Kokasai street. This should be all the way. Where is stopping? Okay, we’re moving again. Cocoider and my hotel is at the very very end of this on the right. The very very end. Okay, moving again. Looking from left to right, right to left. This is kind of like your Las Vegas strip in equivalent to Las Vegas strip. Okay. Oh, that’s uh I’m not sure if that’s Hadori or Mishia. Oh, it’s Hadori. That’s the Starbucks and that’s where they sell the Sat and doggy. The good one. Not the bad one on the right side there. Keep going. Keep going. Keep moving. Keep moving. Keep moving. SC here. This is nice because at night everything is lit up, you know. The city is alive. All these lights and then that means we’re almost there. And that’s the bad Sata and around here. And blue will be everywhere I see. And the Ubie place is around here somewhere. They have a nice cafe there. Actually, every other place they sell that move it. What happened? They they don’t cross the road anymore. The karate exhibition demonstration is over. So now the street Oh, there’s a demonstration here. Hold on. Let me see. What are they fighting for? They’re fighting for something. Maybe workers rights or something. What are the saying? Whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Almost there. I can smell it. Oh, that’s the our surplus store. And on the left should be the Uber place with a nice cafe. The first restaurant where I ate when I first arrived here. Oh, another car that this is how they hold a demonstration. See, they have the old Japanese inferial flag. This must be the ultra right. Yeah, the extreme is the the rightwing group seems like. Yeah. Uh-oh. They want to bring back the old Japan. Seems like this is the fact that they’re flying the two flags together, the old Japanese and the new Japanese. It means they bring want to bring back the old Japan. Oh, this is Hotel Grassi. Tabby eats always recommends. To be honest, I should have stayed here. This is a much classier hotel rather than my beat up hotel. Okay, continuing on following the truck with the protest with the two flags, the new and the old flag. The old World War II flag. This is the right right wingh. Yeah. They want to bring the old Japan. Yeah. Yeah. See that’s the that’s the old Imperial Japanese. Yeah. World War II. Yeah. Yeah. World War I. I remember my mom told me about it. Okay. Now, a lot of souvenir shops here. That’s my hotel over there. And there’s a 7-Eleven I go to. The next one is Family Mart. Oh, this is the Uber place. This place is nice. This they serve nice good food here. Oh, this is the souvenir shop with with the picture of Jaws, Incredible Hulk, and a bunch of other American caricaturures. And that is James Dean, I guess, sitting on the bench. Not Elvis, I think it’s James Dean. And here we go. My hotel. My old beat up hotel. And there the bus is going to drop us off here. Family Mart here. Finally, it’s time for us to depart the bus. Oh, it’s backing out. Backing out. Oh, did you forget anything? Okay. Yeah. Check, check, check. Double check. Nice meeting you. Okay, here we go. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. So, that’s the double-decker bus. Only three of us. Nobody was freaking interested in that tour, but I can understand why now. There’s nothing to see to be honest. The highlight was Kokoai and Saga Island, I guess, with the plane watching. Anyway, my final video for Naha is this video. will leave.

My last day in Naha was this nighttime open bus tour. It’s like a hop on bus tour of Naha city.

Senaga Island was beautiful, and you can do some plane spotting as they land at Naha airport. I recorded a few F-15s coming in for a landing as part of the Japan self-defense force.

The best part was showing Kokusaidori at night.
