The overall decoration has become much cleaner and brighter. It feels like a coffee shop. It is very delicious and worthwhile 👍 Today our itinerary is a day trip from Kyoto to Nara. The most convenient transportation from Kyoto Station to Nara is to take the Kintetsu train. The train is an express train but we took a limited express train so in addition to the 760 yen ticket, we also had to pay a 520 yen express fee. The advantage is that in addition to the faster time, the limited express train has reserved seats, so you don’t have to worry about not getting a seat. After about 40 minutes, we arrived at Kintetsu Nara Station. The shopping street is right outside the station. Nara has seen a significant increase in tourists in recent years, so the shopping street is much busier than before. I have always loved the atmosphere of Nara. Every time I come to Nara, I just wander around without any special purpose, just to experience the comfortable atmosphere. The face of this deer makes people feel a bit like a gangster chewing betel nut. 🤣 the little one is much cuter. 🥰 It seems that the professional deer feeder is indeed welcomed by the large herd of deer. The elder sister of the deer senbei also regularly feeds the deer here. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew, and the scenery in front of us was so beautiful 😍 On the way to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, we felt a little hungry, so we decided to go to a nearby teahouse for lunch. We found a vending machine on the roadside and originally wanted to buy a can of hot drink, but we kept being ambushed by the deer in Nara. We had to use deer senbei to distract them. 😂 This time, while searching for travel information about Nara, I accidentally saw a photo of this teahouse on Google Maps. He deeply attracts me. I didn’t know there was such a beautiful shop in Nara Park, so I decided to give it a try this time. Oops! Busted!! 🤣 The teahouse under the maple leaves looked like something out of a fairy tale, the only drawback being the crowds. Menu Even Nara deer wanted to dine in the teahouse fried shrimp tempura udon, karaage chicken udon, hardworking staff It was actually this deer who knocked over a customer’s udon 🤣 I think this must be the most romantic udon restaurant I’ve ever been to. Continue on to Kasuga Taisha Shrine and Kasuga Ninai Jyaya, garden. The most famous dish in the cafe is Manyo Porridge. This shop is located on the approach to Kasuga Taisha Shrine, so you will definitely pass by it when you go to Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Since we don’t like porridge but we like the Japanese garden style of the shop we decided to have afternoon tea at the shop The shop also sells a lot of Nara souvenirs. Order and pay at the counter. Black coffee with persimmon-flavored cake matcha with deer-shaped red bean-flavored dessert. If the weather is good, sitting outside would be great too. The sunset always comes early in autumn and winter. We slowly walked towards the station. We saw a sign on the roadside and realized that it was rutting season. No wonder many male deer looked unstable. Walking along the shopping street, we saw a lot of souvenirs We found a capsule toy shop. I wonder if there are any special items there. Back at Kintetsu Nara Station there are also many souvenirs here to take home. When we arrived at Kyoto Station, we immediately saw Kyoto souvenirs. The Japanese product design is really amazing. It is difficult to leave these shops without spending any money. They also have Kintetsu train merchandise, so if you’re a train enthusiast, this is a must-buy . Today, the sightseeing train was packed and I couldn’t buy a ticket. It was dinner time again, so I went to the Porta Food Court on B1 of Kyoto Station to see what good food there was In the end, I chose the udon restaurant I ate at last time. It was really worthwhile and delicious. The eel rice with some shichimi and sansho was a delicious dish. 👍 I also had a bowl of fried shrimp and udon noodles. After finishing these two main dishes, I was absolutely stuffed. The Tenrei-gai fried pork chop rice and buckwheat cold noodles were truly filling and satisfying. 😋 Afterward, you can explore the nearby underground shopping mall, where you’ll find even more exquisite souvenirs.
