What part of the maguro is this?


I just bought this fish from the supermarket on discount. Even before the discount it’s dirt cheap.

Is it safe for human consumption, if so any idea how to cook this part of the fish and how will it taste?

    It’s basically a piece of tuna and for me the color and aspect look just fine

    Thanks for the help guys, will try a small portion and give the rest to my cats. I was just pretty fascinated by it since it’s the first time I saw it on the shelf.
