I Rode Across Japan On THIS Super Cub 50! [4K]
Start: Iwamuro Station. Destination: Murakami Free Campground “kamihayasimizubenogakkō” I started a road trip to see northern Japan by my motorcycle which is Honda Super Cub 50! I recently drove 1000km in Fukushima Prefecture, so I hope this trip will be okay too. For now, I’m cycling through the rice fields. The meter on the first day read 9623km How many kilometers will this motorcycle travel on this journey? Probably around Nakanokuchi I’m staying at a campsite, so I’ll go to the hot springs before heading there. I heard Tsukioka Onsen is good, so I’m heading there. By the way, today is a nice weather!!! The roads in Niigata are easy to drive on. I guess I’ve entered town because I can see a lot of buildings. It will probably take about a month to get to Hokkaido on this small motorcycle. I plan to stay all night camping, so physical strength is everything needed. I would like to go hiking at mountains, so, I’m also worried about seeing bears a little bit. Well, it’s gonna be alright. I entered Niitsu. I born and raised in Niigata but I left when I turned 20 years old, so it’s been a while to drive around in Niigata. So, I barely know the road in Niigata. No navigation system, I am missed the road sometimes. For now, I’ll take the main road. After about an hour’s drive, I entered Agano City, Niigata Prefecture. I arrived “Tsukioka Hot Spring”. I decided to buy some beer at Tsukioka Brewery to drink at the campsite. I visited Ashiyu Yutabi where you can enjoy a foot bath here. (free) There is a shuttle bus to the hot spring town (free). Free for the foot bath. Tsukioka Onsen boasts one of the highest sulfur contents in the country, and is known as “the hot spring that will make you more beautiful.” I feel it’s summer. Take a short walk around town. I arrived a hot spring. “Bijin no izumi” Adult 600 yen. The water quality of Tsukioka Onsen is “sulfur-containing sodium chloride hot spring (weak alkaline, hypotonic, hyperthermic hot spring).” The clear emerald green color of the water is also a distinctive feature. After the bath, I took a walk around the area. Tsukioka Onsen has a history of over 100 years, dating back to its opening in 1915. It said there was a hand bath and drinkable spring water, so I decided to try it. Honestly, I don’t know the taste. Yuyubi no Izumi (hand bath) This is the place where you can pour hot water over the statue, write a talisman and pray for beautiful skin and good relationships. Scary-cutie August is almost over, but it’s still really hot Well, I lived in California for 15 years, so the heat and humidity of Japanese summers is tough for me. I go to Hokkaido to cool off, avoiding this crazy hot. But I didn’t bring my winter jacket. If Hokkaido is too cold, that would be the worst. I hope the temperature is good. By the way, are his eyes too big? Gross-cutie A new free tourist garden, “Moonlight Garden,” has opened in Tsukioka Onsen> You can see the illuminations at night, but not yet. Too early I guess. There’s a lot of art, so I’ll check it out. Rabbit I walked around Tuskioka Onsen and head to the campground where I will be staying tonight. I entered Shibata. I don’t know why,,there are so many cars I decided to head to Shibata Castle, which I had never visited before. There’s a huge traffic jam. Summer festival? I’m curious so I’ll search on Google. The Shibata Festival will be held from August 27th to August 29th. Today is the 28th, so it’s a festival and it’s crowded. It’s clear now, so, I’m heading to the castle. Where is the castle? The road is complicated. Maybe here is castle,, I finally arrived Shibata-castle. ‘Shibata-Castle’ It may be dark when I reach the campsite,,, Shibata-Castle is closed. So cool. The sun is gone. I hurried but safely made my way to the campsite Before that, I’ll fill up with gas. From personal experience, a Super Cub 50 can travel about 150km on a full tank. The fuel economy is really good. Of course, I think it depends on how to drive them. I usually fill up with gas every 70km or so, and it usually costs around 300 yen. Regular gasoline costs around 170 yen per liter (Niigata Prefecture, as of 2025). Thank you, money. leaked,, Full tank. thank you as always. I am able to travel like this thanks to gas stations and the people who work here. Thanks to all the services. I am so grateful that all of these services are connected and allow me to travel like this. Of course, I’m also thank to myself. Well, it’s time to head to the campground now. I am grateful to this motorcycle, my family, and my grandfather who passed away. It’s not easy to live life freely. But still, I want to live freely and honestly. Humans get hungry. It’s already dark outside, but I guess I’ll have some meat. Arrived at the campground. Too Dark. Deciding to live life freely is difficult to accomplish, This life itself is a once-in-a-lifetime experience I want to always have the courage to do things like this when I want to. Campground Information :’Kanbayashi Waterside School’ This facility is open every year from April 1st to October 31st. The park is equipped with a water source, toilets (accessible for the disabled), and a barbecue area. You can park your car without any problems. Thank you for watching!
