Ekiben is train station box lunch. They are usually sold at station stalls. I filmed the Ekiben vending machine at Osaka station. I bought ‘Anagomeshi’. Anago is conger eel, meshi is rice. It’s similar to Unadon, grilled eel rice bowl. The ingredients are basically sweet-savory taste.
To tell you the truth, I filmed the same vending machine and same Ekiben a few years ago.Anyone remember it?
I wanted another Ekiben this time but it was sold out. So I bought the same Ekiben with a few years ago, because conger eel is one of my favorite.

    This bento box looks so delicious and fresh. And so neatly prepared. Looks like it came straight out of a fine restaurant not from a vending machine. Even the eel looks glistening and grilled to perfection. An awesome and nutritious meal to enjoy anytime anywhere. Too bad we dont have these kind of machines here in the states. I woud definitely would visit them often. Thank you for the awesome sauce video. Enjoy your day. And yes I vaguely remember the same meal. Maybe 9-10 yrs. ago?
