Kyoto Hidden Gems You NEVER Knew Existed!
Kyoto’s hidden gems you never knew existed. Hop on a boat to explore Kyoto. We’re on a Jikoku Buna, an edeto period wooden boat once used to transport sake and rice. Now it cruises through willow line canals and past old sake breweries. It was so peaceful and scenic. Next stop, welcome to the sake village. This area is one of Japan’s top three sake regions thanks to its ultra pure water. The sake house is so big, it actually feels like a little village. A little prayer before we start drinking. We tried nine kinds of sake, each paired with food. That’s so smooth. It’s almost like water. This is dangerous. Two down, seven to go. We need help. And finally, Nakamura Rosaku Candle Craft. An 11th generation family business where every candle is handmade. We tried making our own. Oh, I missed a bit. You failed your master. I’m sorry. Each person makes almost a thousand by hand a day. And this one, this is the biggest one they make. And they only bite it once every 50 years. I’m going to put it down now before I drop it. We even hand painted ours. Not as easy as it looks. Do not show Yayokasama this. So if you think Kyoto is just crowds and temples, save this for is the side of Kyoto nobody tells you
