šŸ›‘ Universal Studios Japan NEED TO KNOW TIPS for Super Nintendo World & Bullet Train Travel

Hey explorers, it is our last full day hereĀ
in Asia. We are in Osaka, Japan now. So, we have flown into Tokyo, went to Seoul, SouthĀ
Korea, and now we’re in Osaka. Osaka is about an hour and 30 minutes from Seoul, South KoreaĀ
from the Gimpo airport. And we are staying at the Courtyard by Marriott Shin-Osaka. And to get fromĀ
the airport to the hotel, it was about an hour, almost an hour. And the Uber was a ridiculousĀ
amount of money. It was $200. Listen, when I get in late and I’m tired, I want convenience. ThereĀ
is transportation, like public transportation and buses and all that, but I did not feel likeĀ
researching it and I did not feel like going through all the stops and the hassle becauseĀ
I was ready to get to the hotel. So, there are options. You don’t have to take the Uber if youĀ
don’t want to. Anyway, so today we are actually headed to Universal Studios mainly to go to SuperĀ
Nintendo World. Had to check that out in Japan, right? So we are doing that today. So stay tunedĀ
so you can see what we get into at Universal Studios here in our last full day in Asia. IfĀ
you’re new here, welcome. Please make sure you hit the subscribe button and the notificationĀ
bell. If you’re a returning subscriber, thank you so much. I truly appreciate it. Now, let’sĀ
get into today’s video. First up, the journey to Universal Studios Japan. We used Osaka’s publicĀ
transit is super affordable and surprisingly easy from Shin Osaka. It was just seven stops and threeĀ
quick trains with our single-use passes. Pro tip, when you transfer at the massive Osaka station,Ā
make sure you know which entrance you need. The station complex is huge and it’s easy to getĀ
turned around and have cash to buy tickets at the machines. [Music] After three trains, we madeĀ
it to Universal Studios Japan. You ready? Yeah. [Music] [Music] We have made it to Universal Studios Japan. ItĀ
is a hot day today and we have timed entry. So, you come here, you have to really like wait forĀ
tickets to come out and available because they do get booked up, especially for Super NintendoĀ
World, which we’ll be going to a little bit later cuz that’s timed entry. The lines haveĀ
long wait times, so you definitely want to pay for the timed entry. And they have a variety ofĀ
different um timed entry packages. So, let’s go. So, our first ride today is Harry Potter ForbiddenĀ
Journey and our timed entry. So, we can get into the Harry Potter entry area at 2:40. Um, and thenĀ
the ride starts from 3 to 3:30. So, here is the ticket for the timed entry. So, you have to whenĀ
you have these timed entry tickets, you have to buy a Universal Studios ticket and then also buyĀ
the timed entry ticket. So, the timed entry ticket is an additional fee on top of the actual ticketĀ
and the price varies depending on how many timed entries you have and what rides are in the timedĀ
entry. So, yeah. So, we’ll be going on our first ride here shortly. So, we just finished up atĀ
Harry Potter’s forbidden journey. Can’t take your phone or anything any loose things onto the rideĀ
because it’s like flipping over and everything. And it does have a sign which is we thought itĀ
was weird that the sign was right before you got on the ride and not at the entry. But if youĀ
are prone to motion sickness and um what was it? Motion sickness and dizziness, you shouldn’tĀ
go on the ride. They should have that before you get in the queue. But it took us we enteredĀ
the line at 2:40. It took us 10 minutes to walk through the castle and get to the locker. ThenĀ
we got in another queue. We waited there about 10 minutes before getting on the ride. Um, and theĀ
ride probably lasted maybe three-ish minutes. Um, and it had you flipping around. It was a virtualĀ
reality flying through a Harry Potter. We got blown on by a dragon, so it was very hot heat.Ā
And yeah, but it was pretty cool interactive um experience. So now we are actually going to goĀ
find some place to eat um before continuing on our journey. Time for a much needed lunch break. So,Ā
we doubled back to Mel’s Drive-In. Quick tip for peak lunch hour. This place is as busy as BlackĀ
Friday shopping, so I highly recommend having one person grab a seat while the other orders andĀ
picks up the food. Also, remember that in Japan, it’s common to use a small item like a tissueĀ
pack or a scarf to save a seat. So, if you see something random left on a table, that spot isĀ
taken. Don’t accidentally steal someone’s chair. [Music] We are winding down our day here at UniversalĀ
Studios, but the main attraction is yet to come because we’re going to Super Nintendo World. TheĀ
main reason why we’re going that has timed entry And for the main attraction, Super Nintendo World. To truly play the park, grab a power up bandĀ
near the entrance. They cost 3,200 yen and let you collect coins and participate in all theĀ
interactive challenges. This is so cool. Oh my gosh. Bowser’s Castle ride. We’ll be on thereĀ
later. Listen up. Getting on to rides at Super Nintendo World or anywhere at USJ can be tricky.Ā
You absolutely must get a timed entry express pass add-on for your tickets. Seriously, the standbyĀ
lines at a lot of the places in the park without them took at least an hour. Now, here’s theĀ
crucial part. If you want that express pass, you need to be online and ready to buyĀ
exactly 60 days before your preferred date. USJ has different Express Pass packages, butĀ
they sell out instantly. I really wanted the Express Pass that included Mario Kart and Yoshi’sĀ
Adventure, but because I remembered a day late, that add-on was gone for my day. My sister canĀ
get that little baby Bowser hat. I used to have like a cup like this when I was a kid. That wasĀ
Little Mermaid, though. This place is crazy. [Music] Ah. Bowser. Time for ourĀ
final ride. Mario Kart challenge. [Music] Super Mario. Super Mario ready. Oh my. Finishing up at Universal Studios Japan. WeĀ
had a great time. It was nice to end on the Mario Kart experience in Super Nintendo World.Ā
We actually had to steer the cart. The cart had about four people in it. Um, but you steer basedĀ
on what it was telling you on your helmet. Um, and then you also um had to shoot the littleĀ
things that you got from the question mark, the little bonuses and all of that. So, that wasĀ
pretty fun. What was your favorite ride today? My niece’s favorite ride was the roller coaster,Ā
which was I forgot the name of it. Hollywood something. Roller coaster was cool. It sat fourĀ
people in a row and then it played music as it went. And then we also went on Harry Potter. ThatĀ
was pretty cool to start off. Then we bought a whole bunch of stuff at Super Nintendo World.Ā
But now it’s time to head back to the hotel, get some dinner at the hotel, go to bed becauseĀ
we have an early morning to head back to Tokyo and then back to the US. We have checked out ofĀ
our hotel. It’s time for us to head back to Tokyo and then head back to the US. But to get backĀ
to Tokyo, we are actually taking the high-speed train from Osaka to Tokyo, which will be aboutĀ
um two hours or a little over 2 hours. So, let’s head on our way. This is it. Time forĀ
the famous Shinkansen ride back to Tokyo. We took the Nozomi 72 directly from Shin Osaka. TwoĀ
things to know about tickets. First, if you want to pick your exact seats, you must purchase orĀ
finalize your booking 30 days out as that’s when seat selection opens. Second, always have yourĀ
tickets QR code printed or digital ready to scan as you pass through the gates. We decided to takeĀ
a much earlier train that day because we flew home out of Tokyo later. Giving ourselves plenty ofĀ
room for error was the best way to end the trip. [Music] What a day? Okay, we have made it to the TokyoĀ
train station after taking the Shinkansen Shinkansen. I’m not sure how to say it. They saidĀ
it on a train a few times. Still don’t know. Um, but now we need to catch an Uber. You canĀ
take the subway to the airport to Haneda, but we’re going to take the Uber cuz I have a lotĀ
of luggage and it’s hot. Nobody wants to be all sweaty before getting on the plane. Um, but oneĀ
thing to note, ride was nice. Nice and smooth. It did stop a few times. Even though when you bookedĀ
a ticket like to Tokyo from Osaka, it looks like it’s not going to stop, but it does stop a fewĀ
times. And there isn’t a food car on the train. So, get some food before or you’re going toĀ
have to wait until you get off the train. So, now let’s get to the Haneda Tokyo airport. OurĀ
Uber ride has taken us from the train station back to the airport, and it’s now time for usĀ
to head back home. If you enjoyed this video, please make sure you hit the like button. PleaseĀ

  1. Great that you had some time to stop in Osaka en the amusement parks.
I used to love to go on the rides, now I get sick easily…
Public transportation is pretty good in Japan, but sometimes you just need some comfort!šŸ˜šŸ‘
