Comedian Lee Guk-joo will reveal the reasons why she left Korea and is now living in Japan.
In the second episode of the reality food documentary ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ (co-produced by Maeil Broadcasting Network (MBN), Channel S, and SK Broadband), airing on the 24th, Jun Hyun-moo and Kwaktube (Kwak Jun-bin) invite ‘celebrity mukbang stars’ Lee Guk-joo and Park Gwang-jae as their ‘food buddies’ and visit a restaurant in Iksan famous for its 35-year-old spicy braised chicken stew (dakbokkeumtang).
The four also visit a knife-cut noodles (kalguksu) restaurant in Iksan with a 45-year tradition, where they become so absorbed in the taste of kalguksu and dumplings (mandu) that their conversation revolves entirely around food. Jun Hyun-moo points out, “We haven’t talked about work at all since we met,” and Kwaktube adds, “This is the first time I’ve only talked about food like this,” jokingly saying he feels dizzy.
Nevertheless, Lee Guk-joo responds, “I’m loving this,” showing the unwavering attitude of a true mukbang star and making everyone laugh. After a round of laughter, Jun Hyun-moo suggests, “Now that we’ve caught up on eating, let’s move on to life updates. I’m curious why you went to Japan.” Lee Guk-joo then candidly shares her reasons for leaving Korea and broadcasting in Japan.

After wrapping up their lively conversation and kalguksu mukbang, the group heads to another Iksan restaurant with a 37-year history, famous for its spicy braised chicken stew. There, Lee Guk-joo receives a nine-dish set meal and suggests, “Let’s each pick our favorite,” launching an impromptu ‘side dish World Cup.’ Jun Hyun-moo remarks, “This is my first time doing something like this on ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan,’” expressing his surprise.
At one point, as Lee Guk-joo picks up a side dish and says, “I need some white rice,” Kwaktube volunteers, “I’ll get it. I’ve become more diligent lately,” playfully showing off his ‘newlywed’ status. Jun Hyun-moo adds, “When you get married, you have to be a man who’s quick to get up and help,” making everyone laugh with his know-it-all attitude.
Episode 2 of ‘The Jun Hyun-moo Plan 3’ will air on the 24th at 9:10 p.m. on MBN and Channel S.
