Where to Stay in Osaka: Courtyard Marriott Tour & Honest Review (Is the Breakfast Worth It?)
Hey Explorers. So I am Kita the Explorer and
today I am here in the Courtyard by Marriott at Shin-Osaka and I am going to of course
take you on a hotel tour. So you’re going to see the room and you’re going to see some
of the amenities of the hotel. So let’s get into this hotel tour. Before we do, please
make sure you hit the subscribe button and the notification bell. It’s free for you to
do so. And if you’re a returning subscriber, thank you so much. I truly appreciate it.
Now let’s get into this hotel tour. Am [Music] I on your video? Yes, you are. Um, but yeah, this entire tour Oh, wait.
No, no, no, no. It’s over here. Okay. This clock. I find this clock. Oh, yeah. And over here is where you can get your signature.
[Laughter] You look all fancy sitting at the desk. Yes. My signature. Well, no. Wait, what? This
is how you write my name. [Music] What? You are so silly. cuz he just bumped into the
two beds. This is a nice light fixture. Oh, wait. My Delta slippers. Oh, I’m going to put
those on when I ride. Wait, are we going back to Delta? Yeah, we’re going back to Delta. When
we go back to Delta, I’m going to wear those. Oh, there goes the train. That’s not the train we’ll
be taking back. Oh, well, I don’t really I don’t really care about the train. I kind of care about
like this. I’m I I’m caring about like if my video flops or not. I shall send it. Oh, in room
dining till 11:00 p.m. That’s what we’re getting. This is a mini bar. Oh, okay. Well, they
should be aware because they just should Oh, I didn’t even see that. Wait, I have to
I have to do my tour included. I don’t like how this can’t fit. Oh, yeah. I need my cube. Oh, yeah. This is my original cube that I used.
Um, it’s not a fancy Oh, no. Yes, it is a bidet. I was about to say. Okay. Here’s the toilet. Oh,
here’s this little thingy that my um that this that my aunt is very um excited about. But um and
this is the things. It comes with some shower gel, conditioner, and shampoo. So, if you guys can’t
bring it on the plane, then you guys can most certainly have it in this hotel. And it can’t
this this door can’t fully close. It’s kind of like your style here in Japan. It was kind of
like it was like that in Tokyo. And this door feels really light. The door feels really light.
And oh, and right here you can feel I don’t know what this is. What’s this? Oh, we have a We have
slippers. There’s some slippers in here. And shower. It is the next morning. And I just want to
show you the look outside the window because when we got in last night, it was dark. We were tired.
But this is the look outside our window. People are busy moving about their
day. The train is going by, which is one reason why we stayed here cuz we’re
going to be taking the train back to Tokyo. So, we’re staying in the Shin-Osaka Hotel. But yeah. [Music] there’s the separate elevator to go
down to the fitness center. Fitness center. Wow. Amazing. You missed the other
fitness centers. Well, yeah. Yeah, treadmills ellipticals. It is big. I
don’t know how you go up in speed. Oh, they have one of these bikes
towels. Oh, and weights. Oh my goodness. Weight area. A lot of mirrors. [Music] The dining and the lobby. Oh, is this the
front of the Let’s see how it feels outside. Yes. How you feel? It’s not too bad. It could be worse.
Yeah. Front of the hotel all the way up there. All their restaurants. [Music] Okay. How do we go back upstairs? [Music] Upstairs we go. They also have multi-function room, lounge,
bar, and restaurant on the 19th floor. But breakfast and the other dining for lunch
is on the floor with the lobby. [Music] This is nice. Nice waiting area. [Music]
Everything’s closed right now. All closed. It’s the lounge. [Music] Here is a restaurant. [Music]
Currently closed. [Music] Oh, and then just some conference rooms. So, we have finished up the tour. took you
on a room tour, took you to um breakfast, which was very quick because it was closing. Um
took you to fitness center, and it took you up to the 19th floor where there’s the executive lounge,
a bar, restaurant, and conference rooms. So, let me break it down to you. The bed was comfortable.
The room is comfortable. It’s kind of um stuffy in the room. So, turning the air conditioning down
just a little bit, make it a little bit cooler, makes it not so stuffy. There is a mini bar fridge
in the room, which kind of sucks because I get funny about the mini bar because they use
that to like if you put something in there, um the weight kind of helps calculate how much
you are charged. So, sucks to have that in in the room. So, you can’t like put your drinks or
anything to cool things off. But, luckily, we’re only here for two nights. The TV is a Toshiba,
which means I don’t know if Toshiba had smart TVs, but it is not a smart TV. The other hotels we
stayed in while we were in Asia were Samsung’s and they’re smart TVs. So, we could play Netflix. You
could connect your phone to the TV on certain apps and everything. So, we can’t do that. Basically,
all we’re watching is news channels, maybe Cartoon Network. I think there’s one movie channel, but
then they also put advertisements throughout the movie. Also, the shower, which I’m in the bathroom
cuz my niece is in there practicing before her dance performance. The shower behind me is just
like in Tokyo. There is no, as you can see, no covering here. Just open area, no curtain,
no glass, which I’m glad there’s no curtain, but it would be nice to have a door there. And
also, there is a slope at the back of the tub, so when you go in and out, you be careful
where you step. Unlike the one in Tokyo, the water doesn’t really bounce out of the
shower. So, that’s great because the one in Tokyo, the water is bouncing everywhere. The shower does
not have overhead. So, you have to try to get the the the hose positioned correctly or you’re
going to have to hold it. I prefer to have just a not overhead on like rain showers, but you know,
something stagnant coming down. It is comfortable. Felt really great to be in the shower. There’s not
a lot of amenities here. There is a nice fitness center which children under 18 aren’t allowed
which kind of sucks because what if you are with like me I’m just with my niece and what if you
want to go work out you don’t really want them staying in the room right and she knows how to
work the machines and everything when I looked up and saw oh kids aren’t allowed I was like we have
to leave luckily we weren’t going in there to work out or anything the it’s very convenient cuz it’s
right next to the train station but it is quite far from the Osaka airport and it’s also about 30
minutes by their metro train to Universal Studios, which is why we’re here in Osaka. So, definitely
convenient location for what we need to do. Yeah, I do really like the hotel. It’s not my favorite
hotel, but I do like it. I would stay here again if I’m doing something similar. All right,
explorers. So, I hope you enjoyed the tour of the courtyard and getting my review. So,

Thanks for watching!
I appreciate the clear walk-through of the hotel. The room looks modern and clean—definitely adding to my shortlist!
Nice stay at this hotel in Osaka. It seems that, despite their different style, the Japanese place a lot of importance on details and cleanliness, which is a very good thing.
thanks for taking us with you
I can definitely appreciate a clean and sleek hotel. The added amenities were a nice plus as well. I definitely get what you’re saying about the mini bar and the way they calculate the weight to see if you’ve taken or replaced something. I got charged once and I was not happy. Thank you for showing us this hotel ❤
