i-mobile has launched offerings from Minato City, Tokyo, on Furunavi Travel, the travel-experience return gifts program on the Furunavi Furusato Nozei (Japan’s hometown tax donation) website.
Points can be used when paying the bill at eligible hotels and restaurants—such as InterContinental Tokyo Bay, The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo, and Hotel Allamanda Aoyama—at a rate of 1 point = 1 Japanese yen.
Furunavi Travel is a service that lets donors receive Furunavi Travel Points—no-expiration electronic points that can be used at partner hotels and restaurants in the municipality to which they donate—as their return gift. Donation amounts can be set in any amount from 10,000 yen, in 100-yen increments, and points are granted immediately at a rate equivalent to 30% of the donation amount.
