Trip to Japan’s Traditional Countryside|Experience the Beauty of Old Japan in Gifu|JAPAN TRAVEL VLOG

Hi, I’m Daisuke😊Thank you for watching! This time, I’ll travel to Gifu, where you can experience traditional Japanese history. Gifu Prefecture is home to numerous towns that retain the atmosphere of the Edo period, including Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gifu Prefecture is a popular destination for both Japanese and international travelers. I’ve been wanting to visit so many places for a long time, so I can’t contain my excitement!😄 Let’s enjoy the trip together👍 The Old Townscape of Hida Takayama flourished during the Edo period and is designated as an Important Preservation District in Japan, so many buildings remain as they were in the past. The old townscape, famous for sake brewing, has become a popular tourist destination and is a three-star attraction in the Michelin Green Guide. It has a calm and lovely atmosphere✨ I’m hungry after driving such a long distance to get here. I want to eat Hida beef, a specialty of Hida🍴 I ordered a bowl generously topped with Hida beef. It looks thick and delicious🥰 It was absolutely delicious. I’m going to the place I most wanted to visit in Hida Takayama. Takayama Jinya was a place where administrative and police duties were carried out during the Edo period. Takayama Jinya is the only jinya in Japan where the main buildings from that era remain today. This is the family crest of the Tokugawa clan, the shoguns of the Edo period who ended Japan’s Warring States period. The facility seems to be very spacious. It appears to be the place where criminals were judged at that time. I was able to deeply experience old Japan. Shirakawa-go is the place I’m most interested in visiting on this trip😌 Shirakawa-go is a rural village famous for its traditional Japanese gasshō-zukuri buildings. It is registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is said to represent Japan’s pristine landscape. Everything is so beautiful it moves me🙏 I’m starting to feel a little hungry. I ordered the Hida beef skewers. There is a shrine within Shirakawa-go. I hope you enjoy the video🙏 It was the most wonderful place! I booked a hotel where I can get a good night’s sleep. Good night💤 Good morning☀️ Last night it was too dark to see, but the view from the hotel is amazing😮 Coffee seems to be free and unlimited☕ It’s a lovely lounge😊 Let’s enjoy traveling together again today👍 It’s a shame the weather doesn’t look good today💦 It’s a bit early for the autumn foliage, but I’m going to a shrine famous for its maple trees. I hope I can see some autumn foliage😄 Oyada Shrine is a shrine built about 400 years ago, said to be effective for warding off misfortune and promoting career advancement. The grounds feature a primeval forest of over 3,000 maple trees, earning it the nickname “Maple Valley.”🍁 All I can see as far as the eye can see is maple trees😮 It seems I was a bit early for the autumn leaves 😥 I feel the sacred air. After thoroughly purifying myself, I will pay my respects. I have arrived at the main shrine. The weight of history is palpable. I hope I can make a great video🙏 Though it’s hard to leave, I’ll head to the next place I want to go. I’ve come to Magome-juku, a post town that flourished during the Edo period. Magome-juku is a historic post town so well-preserved that it is said to be one of Japan’s three great post towns. The cobblestone-paved slopes are a defining feature, allowing visitors to experience the atmosphere of the Edo period in abundance. It’s beautiful everywhere you look😊 The Kiso mountains are beautiful, and I truly feel fortunate to have been born in Japan. Thank you for watching.

  1. La ciudad que visitaste parecía una escena sacada de Studio Ghibli. Esas casas son hermosas, sentí una sensación agradable al verlas. Gracias por un maravilloso video 💝

  2. What a truly beautiful place! It almost makes you wish that you were alive in the Edo period!!! I'd go tomorrow if I could walk well enough.
