Shin Okubo is the biggest Korean neighbourhood in Tokyo. It’s located one stop from Shinjuku Station on the JR Yamanote Line. The area is home to countless shops selling Korean products and foods. In this district, you can find everything from Korean cosmetics, to K-pop merchandise as well as a plethora of Korean restaurants. Approximately 500 different businesses are located in this area.

As you can see in this video, the sidewalks and alleys are very narrow, and the district can get unpleasantly crowded at times, particularly on weekends.

This was filmed on a weekend in July 2019
