DWIGHT Ramos and Francis Lopez split their first faceoff in the Japan B.League as the Levanga Hokkaido hosted the Fighting Eagles Nagoya this weekend at Hokkai Kitayell.
Ramos anchored Hokkaido’s 90-74 victory on Sunday, putting up 13 points, eight assists, one rebound, and one steal against Lopez’ two boards, an assist, and a block in 13 minutes.
The former University of the Philippines forward drew first blood on Saturday as Nagoya took the 91-74 win, finishing with eight points and three rebounds, one dime, and one steal.
On the other hand, Ramos got 13 points, two steals, and one rebound in Hokkaido’s third loss in seven games. Nagoya is at 3-4.
The weekend points enabled Ramos to reach 2,000 points in his fourth season in B.League’s top flight.
Ray Parks also earned a weekend split as Osaka Evessa visited the Shiga Lakes at Shiga Daihatsu Arena. His 14 points, five rebounds, and one steal aided Osaka’s 80-72 win on Sunday, which avenged a 71-70 loss on Saturday where he had nine points, three boards, two assists, one steal, one block. The Evessa are now 3-4.
