Back in Japan! Exploring KYUSHU
After two long years, we finally flying back to Japan. The journey took us almost 29 hours. Planes, airports, and endless waiting. But now we are here at last. It feels unreal to be back, ready to explore and make new memories again. We just arrived and now went to a supermarket to buy some sushi there and have a small snack. And then we walk around a little bit. It’s now 8:30. Mhm. A little bit tired after traveling for 29 hours. Yes. So, there will not much not be much content tonight. But yeah, it’s always time for a little walk. [Music] Good morning everyone. Morning. What do I want to say? I don’t know actually. Yeah, we just uh woke up. Look a bit tired. Yes, we have some breakfast now here. Some mean and oniri like two years ago. And now we are in front of the Fukuoka Pepe Dome because we go to team lab. Team lab. And it’s not the pepe dome. It’s the boss e building next to it. That building here, they open at 10:00. We have tickets from 10:00 on because we want to be one of the first people who get in. And now we just enjoy our breakfast. It’s 9:20. Have to wait a little bit. Yeah. Let’s see how this team lap is compared to Tokyo. [Music] [Music] back again. Yay. We just finished Team Lab Forest, I think it’s called. How was it? That’s really cool. It’s very different than the one in Tokyo we went last time, two years ago. Is it better? I don’t know. It’s difficult to compare. It’s more family friendly, I would say. Many kids, but it didn’t scare me away. So, um, very colorful. You can draw your own animals and actually not your own animal. You can draw like five, six different animals or water bubbles as you saw. Let’s start at the beginning. So, it’s like a Pokémon Go. We download the app on our phone and then we see the forest. We can catch those Pokemon animals. There are like 68 or 69 kinds. And then afterwards we explain or we explore the whole forest, the whole water parkish. And then at the end we notice that we can also create our own animals in the forest. like you contribute back to the nature. Yeah. You start kind of like it looks more like to start with like the earth’s beginning of the animals that kind of like before the human mankind was there and at the end you can uh release your footprint there or you draw something there. And there are six rooms. First one was the yeah what we just explained this this Pokemon Pokemon catching animals room. And then there was a room where they walk on boards and they change uh the color and uh also some interact with the light. The third room I don’t remember much. There’s one with the bubbles. Yeah, one bubble where you can like easy touch them and they go up to the air. The third is maybe the bridge. Yeah, the bridges exactly. Yeah. And I forgot it. And then the last room I think as I said there are six rooms. I forgot one of the rooms now, but at the end you you draw the animals and release them. And um ours were disappearing very quickly, actually. I don’t know. They were too ugly. So, right now it’s 11:30. We spent there almost 1 and a half hours. And now we go to a shopping center for some eating and drinking. Let’s go. This is for step. [Music] What? Okay. Is it for free? Too far down. Damn. So, we have finished the shopping center. Yes. Chat kicks in. We go home for a nap. Yeah. [Music] back to the living. Yay. We took a little nap of 2 hours and now we go to the Hakata station, the main station for Fukoka to change our chip and rail pass. Mhm. Um from paper to real passes that we can use on from tomorrow on. Yeah. Mhm. Let’s go. [Music] So, we finished dinner. It was good. Was at there far in the back. Mhm. was very good. This is actually um I have heard about this ramen ranch for so long, but my first time to try this one basic bowl is about 980 yen, which is how many? Around €7. Mhm. And that’s original from Hakata here in Fukuoka, but you get it everywhere in Japan. Mhm. Even in America nowadays, I think. Yeah, it was good. So, dinner check. And now we go out for some No, not shopping, but night walk. night walk mostly around department stores. [Music] After two short nights in Fukuoka, we continued on to Nagazaki by train. Not this one, this one. Traveling at high speed through rural Japan, we reached Nagazaki and our four to fivestar hotel. Some of us felt a little unimpressed. After dropping off our luggage, we explored the shopping streets of Nagazaki and got some inspiration for what to have for lunch. [Music] Focus on you. Same travels for another day. Got nothing to lose. [Music] Yeah, that’s spacious. Mhm. Nice. How is the view? You are not bad. Wow. So, we decided to enjoy the view for a moment. Say with me. [Music] Okay, back to explore the city. We didn’t talk much today because it was always crowded and busy. Yes. And so it’s almost A dinosaur is here. I think that is our tra and I talk after the tram. As you saw, we are in a five-star hotel. Mhm. Which fits us very well. And we went out some shopping. Oh, yeah. Some shopping at sushi for lunch. And now we go on an observatory deck, which should be for free. Mhm. because there’s a sunset coming on. And yeah, let’s see how Nagazaki Nagazaki’s $1 million view. Oh, yeah. We are still not at the observatory deck, but we’re on our way. Looks very nice. We are almost there. Oh, the humidity is very high. You hear the sound of the the bugs. Nobody’s talking about humidity when you walk up here. We made it. Yay. [Music] Now we’re walking back. Oh man, my sweat. Hey, nobody tells you how humid it is to go up here. Um yeah, we saw the sunset or Yeah, we saw it. Sun didn’t go down into the ocean because of clouds. It’s not totally dark now, but um we don’t want to wait longer until it gets dark. It’s darker than on the screen it look. Yeah, it’s very bright actually here on the screen, but it’s getting quite dark walking down the path here. So yeah, it was nice for free. The best. And now we go down to the city to have some dinner and yeah, call it a day or night. I never know what’s wrong. That’s correct, actually. Um yeah. So, see you later. Oh, I should um not put my arms too high since there are big spider webs. Oh, where? There. Okay, let’s go. [Music] We are in Chinatown now. Yes. Let’s have a look what they offer us or what they have. I don’t know if you eat buy something or eat something in Japan. But let’s have a look. Chinatown is famous here in Nagazaki. It’s one of the bigger ones in Japan and older one. It has specific old actually not not big but old. So you can see looks already colorful. Let’s have a look. Yes. [Music] So, Chinatown check in 5 minutes. Yes. Four on four streets, I would say. And now we go to a shortening guy for dinner. [Music] Ta. We didn’t even record before changing the clothes, actually. Yeah, but we got this nice uh Look at the quality. I mean, I’m not being cheap, but look at the quality. This is really I’m not saying anything. And now we go to the onen to the Yeah. Yeah. Not sauna. It’s on steam bath. And And yeah. Yes. They also have a sauna there. So Let’s go. See you later. [Music] Oh man, that was good. That was good and hot enough for today. See you tomorrow. Bye-bye.
We spent three amazing days exploring Fukuoka and Nagasaki on our Japan trip. From delicious sushi to steaming bowls of ramen, every meal was unforgettable. One of the highlights was visiting TeamLab, an incredible digital art experience. Both cities offered a perfect mix of culture, history, and modern life. We’re so excited for the rest of our Japan adventure — this is just the beginning!
