This is everything I ate at the Tsukiji Fish Market. I wanted to go early to beat the tourists, but I overslept, so I had to settle fighting them for a spot at this viral tuna sushi spot. The simplicity of this dish blew me away with just the beef stew, rice, and poached egg needed to make the fat kid in me weep with joy. This is the ultimate comfort food eaten alongside strangers on the side of the road. And with every bite, it made me wonder, what’s for dessert? The answer came as I walked 10 feet to the left, and it was a place that serves matcha avagato.
