【25年秋の新潟グルメ旅】海鮮天国・新潟のおいしいものを日帰りで全部食べてみた!

How are you? It’s mamirock This time I’m heading to Niigata in search of autumn seafood I found an izakaya with an impressive seafood menu, so I made a reservation for 4:30pm I’m on a day trip to attack seafood starting from lunch, since I’m here I hurry to catch the 10:48am bus The exterior of Niigata Station is under construction The bus stop is just past the construction site It looks quicker to walk than to wait for the next bus I want to come up with a strong catchphrase like this I couldn’t find an obvious entrance, so I slipped inside the facility The restaurant is ranked number one in the nation on Tabelog’s conveyor belt sushi rankings First, I’ll go to the oyster shack Raw oysters and draft beer in the morning♡ The playful lady at the restaurant forgot her chopsticks Do you want me to boil the insides? Once bubbles appear, simmer on medium heat for 5-6 minutes The heartfelt and cheerful service is very pleasant Apparently the creator of Sapporo Beer is from Niigata The Niigata-only beer that was born as a result of this connection “Fumi Soukai Nishite” I had been hoping to try it, so I was happy to come across it for the first time It wasn’t in season, but it was packed with the taste of happiness It really was bubbling all the way to the outside of the can The strong scent of the sea wafted through the steam Eating oysters is like eating the sea (just kidding) I ate it all up without a second thought Finally, we headed to Tabelog’s number one conveyor-belt sushi restaurant But it was so sweet, and there was a huge queue outside the restaurant… The Nanban shrimp, which I had been meaning to try, came floating by I’m curious about the difference between Nanban shrimp, a Niigata specialty, and sweet shrimp. I wonder if it has a stronger, stickier sweetness than sweet shrimp? I’ll try them and compare them. Oh? The sweet shrimp was also very tasty. I was also impressed by the filefish liver topping (I shared it with a friend). There are so many Niigata specialties that one after the other, it’s delicious. Niigata is famous for both seafood and rice, so sushi from Niigata is the best. I came to Toki Messe to take the water bus up the Shinano River. Maybe that’s why I couldn’t find the timetable online… I don’t really get it, but I’ll have to change my means of transportation. I went to Furumachi Street in search of floating stars, which look like konpeito but aren’t. It’s interesting how Niigata culture is packed everywhere. It reminds me that Sado is also part of Niigata. The dynamic illustrations are addictive. I bought some “Arigatou” miso soup and a Tsubame-Sanjo fork. And of course, the floating stars. Unlike konpeito candy made only with molasses, Ukihoshi are small rice crackers covered in molasses. Apparently the owner of this shop revamped the traditional Niigata sweet Yukari as Ukihoshi and it became a hit. The taste varies depending on the color, so we enjoyed every single one. The staff were friendly and we had a great time. Thank you very much ♡ We discovered even more charms at the Ukihoshi Sweets Cafe that we saw on our way here! There are so many interesting shops, but I don’t have enough time… I also saw many shops selling rice balls and pork soup I really want to eat, but my stomach isn’t full… The temptations of Niigata are truly formidable Sudden high spirits I didn’t know that Mizushima Shinji, the creator of “Dokaben,” was from Niigata Yamada Taro, also known as Dokaben, also made a name for himself in his hometown The combination of Chinese tea and French pastries is intriguing The interior is also lovely, with its high ceilings and spaciousness I’ve been asked at other shops, “Why Niigata?”, but I’m so humble You sample, choose your favorite beans, and brew them the way you like I’ve never met so many beans lined up here before Only 70kg of these coffee beans are produced in the world!? Beans that have been infused with flavors other than coffee are apparently called infused coffee The beans and brewing method are cutting-edge and innovative It feels like I’ve opened a door completely different to “ordinary coffee” Let’s take a look at the process leading up to actually sipping it The coffee has a soft taste and a refreshing fruit flavor I was excited to experience this story and taste for the first time I’m also grateful that I was told about a great cafe in Tokyo We’ll ride along the Shinano River on a rental bicycle Niigata has a strong focus on bicycle rentals, with plenty of ports! I crossed Bandai Bridge, which I had wanted to reach by boat, by bicycle (exciting) I returned the bike at the port very close to the restaurant I wanted to go to Apparently, this beer is made using specially cultivated Koshihikari rice from Sasagami, Niigata The menu that drew me to Niigata was finally here I was surprised at how impressive it was for such a small place There was so much information on the table that I panicked The mystery I had felt about the sushi was solved! I’m so glad I took up the staff’s recommendation Jiggly sweets were all the rage then A seafood festival that forced me to drink sake This is the visual king who, along with the crab, invited me to Niigata First I tried just the sea urchin I did, but it goes perfectly with the seaweed The restaurant was so luxurious for both the eyes and the tongue that it made me dizzy It was also great that the staff were so friendly I had about an hour until my Shinkansen train so I did some shopping inside the station Apparently, sauced pork cutlet bowl is Niigata’s soul food I got some takeaway and ate it when I got home The sweet and spicy sauce was addictively delicious! Ponshukan, popular for its sake tasting corner, also has a wide selection of souvenirs Apparently, Sado deep sea water is popular among my friend’s nephew I selected mugwort tea It tasted like drinking mugwort mochi In addition to sake, there was also a wide variety of beer After passing through the ticket gate, I made a fascinating discovery I came to Niigata for the seafood But what left the biggest impression on me were the friendly Niigata people Time passed slowly and everyone was cheerful and chatty That was the greatest luxury and I felt that this was the charm of Niigata It’s a city I want to visit again Now, excuse me from the zero-gravity massage machine
