Feels like a thrift shop — lots of clothes too! They’re 50% off On clothes So many! These are kids’ sizes Also 50% off So where should we go? This place is huge! Really big So where should we go first? Maybe let’s start at the gadgets section Sound systems Lots of clothes too Let’s see if we can buy some So many Items here For fishing These are all fishing items Everything here is for fishing What’s this? Camping gear Sneakers Sneaker shoes How much are these? 11,000 yen Less 20 percent That’s not bad 11,000 yen Around 4,000 pesos Less 20 percent So That’s already cheap How about these slippers? These look nice Here I usually see Shoes like this Didn’t know they have Slippers too 8,800 yen See? It’s thick and firm Nice quality 8,000 yen Less 20 percent What else do we have here? This one’s 5,000 yen only This one’s 6,000 Less 20 percent Less 20 percent Less 20 percent There’s still a lot here Shoes everywhere Hoka — only 4,000 yen, Hoka shoes! Still lots of shoes here 1,320 yen That’s the price That sells fast Because it’s cheap So affordable Around 500 500 plus Around 600 pesos If converted to Philippine price These kinds sell fast Asics — still in great condition Like this They sell quickly How much is it? 4,200 yen That’s around 1,000+ pesos Under Armour So prices like these are not bad at all Now we’re here at the tennis section Let’s check if there’s a racket we like Here’s their stock Let’s check out their rackets here Oh, they have brand new ones! Still new Look Brand new but displayed in the used section See? When it looks like this It’s really brand new Look closely It hasn’t been used. It ended up here among the used items. And how much is this one? Ah, it’s already cheap. This one’s from 2019. It’s a Pure Aero Lite model. 2019. Pure Aero Lite. So that’s 17,600 yen. So actually— Guys, this is how we make money, those who sell tennis rackets. They come from Japan. When we find items like this— When we find something brand new that’s mixed in with used items— This kind of thing— This is where we earn. At least we can recover our travel expenses. Coming here, since it’s pretty far. Then there are other expenses— and our time— plus when we eat out— Because it’s far and transportation here in Japan is expensive. So when we find brand new items like this— we can resell them— for a bit higher price— but still cheaper than brand new retail. That’s where we earn. Because with used ones— the profit is small. So we make up for it here. That’s why it’s nice— when we find— something like this— for those of us— who sell surplus tennis rackets— and sometimes find brand new ones mixed in— that’s the time— we can earn something decent. We can sell at a higher price— so at least we make some profit. For the sellers— especially those working abroad— since we also ship these— back to the Philippines. US Open. Wilson. The condition looks really good. This Wilson is nice. Clash V2. 100 16×19 Wilson. Good condition. How much is this one? 24,200 yen. 24,200 yen. Oh, it’s actually a 2024 model. Clash 100 V. Really good condition. Look. No scratches even on the protector. Nice one. 24,000 yen. A bit pricey though. If shipped to the Philippines— this would cost even more. So this kind of racket— is hard to sell. These types. This one— Wilson. Blade. 22,000 yen. 100 V9. So for prices like these, it’s quite expensive. You really need regular buyers who order this kind of item. Because they’re not easy to sell. These are different—Yonex. What else is here? Ezone. This Yonex looks great too. Yonex Ezone. 100. How much is it? 26,400 yen. 2022 model. So this one’s expensive. This will go over— 10,000 pesos— when shipped to the Philippines. Hard to sell. That’s why only— the cheaper ones move fast. Speed S. 30,800 yen. Ah, this Head Speed is pricey. Pro Legend. Expensive one. Over 10,000 pesos. Hard to sell that one. Let’s stick to the cheaper ones. So we’ll buy just these three for now. A Wilson Pro Staff and two Babolats. Because the others are quite expensive, and I know they’ll be hard to sell. Expensive ones take a long time to sell, so we’ll go for— the slightly cheaper ones in good condition—easier to sell. Then we’ll look around other stores next time. So, where to next? Now, here we are in Kobe Sannomiya.
