Taste Sweet Potatoes Like Never Before

Roasted sweet potatoes are an autumn staple. The Yaki Imo Festival brings together a variety of shops who are creating delicious and innovative iterations of sweet potato dishes. Now in its fourth year, the festival has brought satisfied smiles to over 770,000 sweet potato fans.

The Yaki Imo Festival Tokyo 2025 event will offer 14 shops with approximately 30 different menu items to explore. In addition to classic roasted sweet potatoes, the vibrant menu has a huge variety of other creative takes from crepes to chips, smoothies, burgers and soups.

Debuting at this year’s festival, the shop Kaizuka from Kasumigaura, Ibaraki Prefecture will serve a local specialty Benitenshi potato variety.

Other menu items include salted butter brûlée, sweet potato mont blanc, beer cheese and bean paste spring rolls, danish pancakes, tofu pudding, potato chowder and sweet potatoes inspired by sweet and spicy Korean buldak. For a full menu list, please visit the event website.

The event will take place at the Nakano Shiki no Mori park event area, about an 8-minute walk from JR Nakano station. Admission is free, and only cashless payment will be accepted at the festival booths.
