[Music] ready to park Nula for the winter. Yes, [Music] Nula is ready. We are going to zip her up and that’s going to be it. We’re at the airport. [Music] You guys ready? Guys, be gone. [Music] What you got? [Music] Ramen. Ramen. How is it? It’s clams. Clam ramen. Exactly what I need on a rainy day. Ramen. Seafood ramen. Overlanding Japan. [Music] We are not camping in the Nula. No, we are in Japan. Nula is in Africa. We’re on the Kamo River. Beautiful Kamo River. But this cruiser has it all. Rooftop tent. [Music] And we are all set to go. Our first day of camping in Japan. And the best part, sitting here in the back, watching the river, having a cup of coffee, listening to the river and the rain as it hits our awning. Overlanding, Japan. Let’s go. Isu Peninsula. Let’s go. Let’s camp [Music] from the mountain of the Isu Peninsula. Okay, here’s our second country campground. Second day of camping is the Peninsula. [Music] Got a living. [Music] [Music] What are we having tonight? Noodles. Are you ready, sir? You ready? We’ve been inland traveling to the center of the Yu Peninsula. We’re now going to go coastal. Off. We stop in this little town in the IU Peninsula. Got to do the right temperature. 8C 8 83 8C. Carefully brewed coffee. Carefully roasted. Coffee is strong but not overpowerful. But you can really taste the coffee on the f. These are fish though. Easil Peninsula out of the mountain the coast. [Music] Third night [Music] in the East Peninsula. [Music] What are you doing? Composting. He’s sorting through the garbage. What did you do here? [Music] It’s delicious. Yep. Local and fresh. [Music] Do [Music] you feel [Music] [Music] Saying goodbye to Mount Fuji as we drive down the windy road to go to the onen town. To go to the onen town. There’s an onen town in the Isu Peninsula. [Music] We ordered cold soda and an assortment of pickled vegetables. This is pickle. vegetables. And this is the soup for the soba. You could have it in two ways. You could have it with this, put that, and then mix it. Or you could have it by itself. This wasabi. This is the real wasabi, not the one on the tube. Okay. The one on the tube is not real. This is real. I’m going to try some this pickled vegetable first. Then you do this. Dip it in the in the soup and then you slurp it. I’m not doing a good job with the slurping. It’s great. They give you the wasabi fruit in a bag. This is green tea ice cream with freshly ground. I like the taste. [Music] [Applause] [Music]

After storing Nulla, our HJ47 Land Cruiser, in Ghana, West Africa, we flew to Japan to overland the Izu Peninsula and visit the historic villages near Kanazawa on the opposite side of the country on the Sea of Japan. We visited and enjoyed Osaka, Kyoto, and Tokyo but our favorites lie outside these urban centers.
